@binloveh92 this song came from a musical called "porgy and bess" written by george gershwin. gershwin was a russian jew who moved to america at a young age and was raised in a predominantly african american neighborhood. when he wrote this song, it was really about the people he identified with most: the african americans. i wasnt saying that the subject matter of the song was inappropriate... i was only saying that the way she pronounces the vowels aren't correct for this piece of music
