I'm so glad it's not just me! When I saw the judge walking down the stairs in the dungeon the imperial march was playing in my head. I got Star Wars vibes from this game in the beginning cut scene with the ships flying around shooting the light beams and they just got worse as the game continued.

If you're still playing, you could replace 1:53- 2:32 with a few scenes in the Pharos of Ridorana. Adding Gabranth's "Guilt" attack would be a good idea too. 5 stars BTW

I also noticed similarities. Especially the part around 00:23-27, it reminds me of the part in Episode 3 when Darth Vader is storming the Jedi temple, as per 'order 66'...Very nicely done, by the way, I quite enjoyed it.

I had a video capture card, and the FMVs were ripped directly from the game DVD (Yes, it's out in Japan and I had the import). Hope that answers your questions. Thanks for the comments too >_<
