I worked at the Forum for the 89-90 season, a few years after marching trombone in HS. One night late in the season, I spoke to trumpet player Rick Cox (and then the team leader), and told him of how I'd always dreamed of playing in it. So he said, why don't you join us for a game, when you're not working? (Jaw met floor!)
So I played w/ them for Game 1 of the 2nd rd against Phoenix. Although the Lakers lost, I will always appreciate the opportunity. Rick, if you ever read this, thank you.
