  • Stephen Stills - "Tree Top Flyer"

  • Great video...With a great choice for sound track.

Could you please post the name of the song and artist.

  • i like the song it goes good with the vid

  • I love your plane can u make a video on how u make? Is awesome

  • its the prop size. It has enough resistance that it cant spin fast but it has enough bite/surface area to make a lot of thrust. So it tools along spinning slow but making plenty of juice. Slower prop spin means the rubber band unwinds slower and flies longer.

  • cool but to old

  • 1:20 what is that tool

  • wow if that first plane had a strong, powerful, and fast enough rubber band(s) then it would fly for many minutes or mabye even an hour

  • im making one in technology ( im in 6th grade), and so far mines the best. all thats left is flight! wish me luck!

  • Wowww, those fly just as good as rc! :) lovev it, truly graceful and very entertaining! A cheap way to have fun!!!

  • Come on guys..share some more fine flying with us...we all enjoy them ..show us some more of you fine skills of building and flying rubber power models!

  • Great video guys by the way where did you get those airplanes?

  • why old men can only play this kind of toys?

  • @ahmed123162 Because maybe only old men know how....boy.

  • At 2:30 is that a plana from hobby lobby i saw one kinda like that

  • That looks relaxing.

  • cool im the 100 person to like lol.

  • hey. why is it that your rubberband spins for SO long! im doing this for my project and i need to get maximum rubberband spin time for the propeller

  • how to do that plane?

  • I have a long rubber band and winded mine up so good that I never saw it agaiin! joking lol.

  • @HardkoreRocker yes your right if ur rubber band is long and this will help too:try winding the rubberband up to 500 and it will fly far

  • wow, loved all the models shown here.Fantastic skies, grat flights.the red one a "taylorcraft " isnt it, what a machine!!

  • it`s a really good but what the basic size of the wing & how they made it home

  • very nice, looks like you guys have a lot of fun!

  • i was waiting for that

  • this is like the sweetest version of a boomerang just weight the corner a bit so it circles and comes right back

  • Let's see some more great video's of the two of you flying your great models!

  • Great video!

  • You guys got this figured out good job

  • Amazing video and also excellent flights of this rubber band powered planes.Congrats! I wish you always happy landings !

  • I'm the opposite of rcAllDayLong. Once I started flying rubber powered planes I sold all my R/C equipment and never looked back.

  • got it down to a fine art -

  • I have built a similar size model. But it came with a lousy plastic prop. I was wondering if you made those props or if they are commercially available? Of course a carved folding prop is best, but hard to make!

  • whats the trick to make these crafts fly for so long??? the rubber band?

  • @HardkoreRocker Looks like the trick is a really long rubber band...so you get more turns on it...more turns, more revs on the prop....and that equals longer flight times.

  • @rcAllDayLong how long of a rubber band r we talking about, cuz your airplane goes up 100 feet at least

  • @HardkoreRocker Oh...sorry, not my vid, but I've played with these in the past, and the length of the rubber band determines how many twist you can put in....and determines how many revs the prop gets. From this vid, I'd estimate the rubber band is running at least 3-5ft. oh and btw, Ever since I've gotten into rc planes, I've never looked back at rubber band models...

  • @rcAllDayLong thank you i appreciate it

  • @HardkoreRocker Viagra.

  • @cpo2u lol

  • @HardkoreRocker very much so, The rubber these guys use is FAI tan rubber. You have to order it over the internet. Then you see at 1:15 they stretch the motor out and wind. This way you can put more turns into the rubber. The rubber is also lubricated with rubber grease Hope this helps.

  • @HardkoreRocker A lot of turns dude - a lot of turns!

  • @HardkoreRocker The rubber band and a good tail wind.

  • Comment removed

  • @HardkoreRocker don't you see how he sets the rubber? it's a long process to get ready, which worths 2 minutes flight

  • Nice flying and very good choice for music too!

  • My Dad and I made a spitfire rubber band plane and it was brilliant untill all it could do was quite good loop the loops so then we made it loop round telephone wires

  • thats crazy i want to make one

  • i just bought a gullow piper super cub. would u happen to know the flight time, if i just built it, and did th rubber pwr????

  • California, or BC?

  • Wow very nice.

  • beautiful planes, flights.

  • Should the length of the elastic unwound be longer than the length of the airplane or slightly under tension?

  • @L0NEPINE I make mine slightly longer than the hook to peg distance, so that I have an inch or two hanging the front of the model.

  • Cool .nice old guys

  • i just put the end of a drill on the end of mine to wind it up its done in like 2 seconds!!

  • i just out the end of a drill on the end of mine to wind it up its done in like 2 seconds!!

  • Very nice video!

  • You should make an airplane with skies that could land on the grass

  • i had one, winded up so good i never saw it again ;) jk

  • Great stuff ! I'm just getting back to rubber ff after 25 yrs...

    Thanks

  • Is that a cricket pitch in america?

  • Very nice song, and didn't know rubber band planes could fly so long.

  • May I ask a question, where did you get the turner for the propeller on the front, that was cool, I have the Sky- Lark-9 double decker, I was wondering if the turner for the prop was available at recent stores, or some tool stores.

  • would there be any way of getting a micro reciever, servers and control rods and making an RC plane that you never have to charge or refuel?

  • @ElRhinoProductions Maybe, because this thing already has flaps, rudder, and not to mention the elevator, so it might be possible, if you bought the slow stick rc plane, you could use it's server's, and control rods, and a free remote, and there you have it. I strongly suggest you get the Sky Lark-9 it's a double decker, or known as the 99009 plane,

  • Lovely video.. annoying song!

  • ahhh I loved doing this in school my plane flew around in like 3 or 4 circles... sweeet

  • Wow. Top flights.

  • very soothing..

  • Best "stick n' tissue" vid on youtube! Looks like you guys had one hell of a good time! Beautiful planes from you both! Wondering where you picked up your stooge? Is it homemade job? Sure is slick!

  • what is it made of?

how much was is it all up with the parts?

  • rubberplane is a relex plane for old man...

  • Great video, really great. Quality family time outside under the sun. I have thousands of dollars in rc planes, and none of them give me the joy of my rubberband planes and gliders. Very simple and perfect. Great music choice. Happy flying. J

  • i have a javelin, cessna, beechcraft and a beaver. All beautiful planes.

  • Im building on too just its a guillows javelin. Seems hard

  • outstanding planes.

  • "Treetop Flyer "by Stephen Stills

  • anybody knows the music?

  • So cool! I wish i could make it too!

  • Great plane!

  • i have a rubber band plane bt its body is

2d and i only get 5 second flights and it goes 10ft in air can anyone tell me how to make it fly longer

  • make sure youve sanded it down to make it more slimline.

throw it with the wind and up in the air just over 45 degrees not to hard.

  • Nice video- rubber bands are great at storing kinetic energy...and for magic, too!
