@Carterbro1 Chihiro wasn't able to forget Renij for some reason, I'm guessing she stayed awake thinking about him or something, or she could have dreamed about him or something. It's kind of confusing because she asked him if they met before earlier in the ep, but I think she was faking.

@cool944 In terms of the game Memories has the first three arcs (Miyako, Kei and Chihiro) while Melodies shows you the last two (Mizuki and Yuuko).

In terms of the timeframe the stories happen, Melodies timeline is both at the start (Yuuko) and the very end (Mizuki) while everything in Memories happens in between the end of Yuuko's and the start of Mizuki's.

yea i just just watched this anime it's pretty good very sad but.. i really enjoyed it it uses unique animation techniques to express character emotions ( a very different approach an I really liked it) it has beautiful background music that also set the mood of the scenes it has a lot of genres including romance, Drama, mystery and Seinen the anime is very well made it is a must watch, and i will compare it to Clannad Air Kanon bois rating?  10 ;)

I just download Ef - A fairy tale of the two game (English). I just started playing now even tho I already have seen both anime.

I recommend Bakemonotagari for those who haven't seen it. An OVA is to be released this November i think. I can't wait XD XD. I also hope for a 2nd season as well.

@hviskerikke Memories is the first season and Melodies is the second. Although, Melodies follows the relationships of Kuze/Miyako and Yuu/Yuuko. While Melodies might be a sequel, it is also fair to call it a prequel as well considering most of the Yuu/Yuuko relationship is flashbacks. Technically speaking though, yes, they are seasons 1 and 2.

@twinroaxas2000 I'm sorry but I completely disagree with you. It's the complete opposite. Clannad did not get sad or interesting until the 2nd half of season two. The complete 1st season of Clannad was a waste of my time it was dull and boring. And so was the 1st half of season two. Clannad was the slow one, Ef is only 12 episodes so there is no way in hell ef could possibly be the slow one. But please don't misinterpret what I say I don't hate Clannad but I do think it's very over rated.

However, some people thought the plot was too dull contrary to what you think. But I have to commend the series for being impressive with only 12 episodes. However, Clannad was already a huge success BEFORE it got an anime. I also must add the Clannad was successful enough to have a movie, and I think 8 bonus episodes, a side sequel.

I mean yah it's with out a doubt a great series. Or at least After story was, Season one was not really that interesting and really did feel like a waste of time. But what really upsets me is that Clannad's fame over shadows other great animes like Kanon, Air, and Ef a tale of memories.

@TheZalor What I say on behalf of the first season is that it was based off every girl's arc so the plot had to jump all over the place making it wierd for people. But Kanon and Air were made from the same creators of Clannad, you knew that right?

@TheZalor I liked this anime, but i didnt love it. It was so gloomy all the way through, that the overall feeling was more numbing and depressing than anything else . It never had the down to earth light hearted feel, which made the characters seem alive, like Clannad. Clannad made me laugh with the characters, and enjoy their triumphs, which made me feel their pain during the sad bits. As did Air and Kanon. I do agree partly though. Clannad series 1 really wasn't great

The second season was a tad bit under the first but i still think that it was beautiful. I expected it to be a totally different story. You've should've seen my face when i saw Chihiro and Miyako, i went crazy. ^.^ I thought it would simply be the white hair guy and his past and thats it. There was alot of depth in this anime

@lifesong000000001 it actually consist of three love stories.. one of the story is pretty much like 50 first dates, but instead of a comedic take they did it dramatically. others include the usual love triangle, and unrequited love. the story and the graphic are actually quite good but the sequel, is the better gem tho. i am quite an anime nerd and i've seen my share of character i despise. but, the sequel actually presented me with an antagonist that i really want to kill so much.

The animation is awesome... The only thing that you have to know is that YOU MUST SEE IT! :D ;) There's a first season called "ef a tale of memories" and there's a second one called "ef a tale of melodies".

But i still think that Memories was so much betta simply because of the unique character selection of Chihiro. :D Chihiro was absolutly was the best part of the show.
