Well, it's not counting down to anything really, it's just a mock up of the BBC type count down which they use.

This countdown is really cool and green but there should be smotehing else like pictures but in 24 seconds you can't put there lots of pictures or videos. But its good the way it is.

excellent, but the only problem i have with is the miliseconds, they are meant to go to 24 not any higher.

Well yes - they're not milliseconds, though, they're frames, which should go from 0 to 24 because it's 25 fps (well 50 interlaced)
