well first of all you have to remember that Koya is in the Jhoto Leugue and Janine is in Kanto. Trainers in Kanto are actually stronger and more challenging that people in Jhoto. Also you have to defeat Koya to unlock his daughter.

well that means you aren't using a variety of pokemon. Like Zark, you should be switching pokemon a lot so they are all the same level but are all very powerful. You can't just train one pokemon because all your other ones will be weak. By the time you reach trainers that have the same level pokemon as you then you will e very weak.

Wow, Janine's pretty smart. Poison only has two weaknesses, & she managed to completely eliminate one while covering the other with Bug-Types. Koga would be so proud...

Yeah, but it's a small price to pay, seeing as how she's got the Poison advantage and (Sorta) put them out of commission. Unless you've got a Steel/Fire type, but... That's just cheating. (And yes, there's only one Steel/Fire type.)
