the bachmann version is my current favourite, but i may turn to hornby soon because it looks similar to what you can see of thomas in the promo picture for the 2014 movie...which'll probably be cool.

thomas's face is okay but in my mind hornby did better on the face. but the rest of bachmann thomas is good

Can you do a time trial around a 36" circle (18" curves) with Thomas at 100 on the controller? I think they tuned him down since they made my model (see my video). Also, the face is based on the cartoon logo on the pre-HiT set's box.

eh... I would have to agree ( except for Edward). The thing is Thomas' face looks nothing like his real face. Plus, he doesn't have a tension-lock coupling at the front

about the front coupler there is two holes under thomas at the front of him and you can screw a coupler in there

personally, i love these model, but the lack of proper space for a layout is really annoying. i remember i tried making a sort of long layout before but i only had curved tracks........with a long wheelbase like that, thomas didn't work well......in fact now that ithink about it, neither did edward or emily even, but that's just my opinion, they are all still awesome models :D

@wayneelke you need to clean the track. By buying a track cleaner liquid. Just put on a towel and rub it on your tracks and then it should move regular. You can by a track cleaner car but costs about $100

hey i wanted to know do all bachmann thomas models dont have couplings in the front? also i have a bachmann thomas and annie and clarabel (just started collecting) and i somehow lost thomas's left buffer :P well i guess 1 buffer missing isent too much to worry about hes still runable but the other prob a peice of my e-z track is broken... now i cant make a complete circle but on augest 20th i got 70$ and im gunna get half a circle and percy and trucks lol

hey i figured out a way for thomas to shunt, its not an exelent way but, put the loop on the friegt cars on thomas' hook it holds. thats what i do

@MMDGUITARPLAYER i don't know if you can use code 100 with ez track because I don't have it. To connect atlas with bachmann I just used the rail joiners that come with atlas track and use with bachmann ez track instead.

Good review. Thomas is also my favorite model. I really dont complain about how all the models are made. The only thing i complain about is some of there eyes. Some of there eyes are lazy and not straight and it annoys me a lot cause i want my models to look normal .

I'd say it's low detail to be honest, but that doesn't mean it's bad, I am picky though when it comes to accuracy. Hornby's A&C are cack, your right! I thought the Bachmann Thomas models were weak in power? that's what I keep hearing.

@sparkshot Not really. some are, like James can't really pull a long and heavy train, but others like Edward can pull a alot
