Is that how they press every thing? because my dermantologist said that i cant use pressed powders for a while cuz it causes clogged pores..i was jw...i guess alcohol is bad on my skin..lol
ik this was long ago,but I have a question if you want to make your pigmnt like an eyehsadow why would you crush an eyeshadow then turn it nback into one? aha just wondering..
@goatheads369 Mac doesn't sell their pigments in pressed form, so if you really like one of their pigment colors you have to press it yourself (if you want it in a palette)
no becuz even do water evaporates alcohol is much better cuz it hold ur eyehshadow and keppin it hard but water will just evaporate and wont do anythin so alcohol is much better hope that help
when i press my mac pigments i use nail polish remover rather than alchohol... it has worked fine for me for years! is this ok though? also i use mattes from stila and it works
Great job....im gonna try it soon....i didnt know such things could be done too....i had all these loose powdered eyeshadow find them annoying so never used them...i will press my own pigment now..lol
hi elle i was wondering, i have bare minerals eye shadows which are SUPER pigmented, anyways they get sooo messing when i open them and its so annoying becuz there is so much in there that i dont wanna waste so i was wondering if i can do the same with them?
Haha actualy srry even though you were tlkn to her I'm gonna answer if ya don't mind..:) umm actualy you can if it's a pigment yea if a pressed eyeshadow you can just like crush it up!and do it!
hahaha that little bubble that said "SHINEYYYY" just made me crack up. idk why really but I just thought it was funny. i love when you add those teehee :)
this video was put together in "real-person-scenario". YOur step by step instructions were perfect and simple enough that litterally everyone should be able to do it! Loving the website for the sample pigments! Thanks!
hia i know u prob wont answer but i live in the uk and i really want coastal scents pallets but how could i do that would i have to pay for the shipping or wot im confused !!! :@ ?? pleaseeeee get back to me
coastal scents does inetrnational shipping and they really pack thigs well in the boxes with lots of bubblewrap. you have to pay shipping - but it's really nto that expensive.
alternatively you can search the 88 palletes, matte and shimmer on ebay and it's the same product. (i don't know about the otehr palletes. there is also a 120 pallette floating around ebay also).
this video really helped! I watched Leesha's and it didn't work at all... your video was more helpful for me.. and I tried pressing and it worked! So thank you for posting this video.. :)
You press them after it dries because as the alcohol evaporates out, it can leave little pockets of air in the pressed pigment which can lead to your pressed pigment crumbling later on. Pressing it ensures that the pigment is nice and compact in the pan so that it truly is "pressed" together.
What is the difference from appling pigment directly (using the patting motion) to pressing the pigment then applying it? Is it much easier? Great video :-)
I feel like it would waste a lot of pigment though cuz it's like impossible to get EVERY single little bit of shadow out. But I might do it cuz I hate loose shadow lol

@babyapple930 it can be 70%! I think it will just take a bit longer to evaporate, but that's ok
AllThatGlitters21 1 year ago 9
why do you need to stack the quarters on top of the eyeshadow and set it under something heavy?? (:
Leah378 1 year ago 18
@Leah378 that's the "pressing" part, it compresses the powder so it is not a loose powder when it dries
