The whole situation was so sickening and heartbreaking. No one wants to go to prison or be sentenced to death, but people can undoubtedly reach a point where they feel forced to take action in order to protect themselves – or someone else – regardless of the consequences. She decided it was worth giving up everything in order to save her nieces from abuse she felt was imminent. I think the verdict was very fair. There had to be a penalty because, like she said, "What I did is not the answer."

Her father died of aphyixiation. The whole situation was so sickening and heartbreaking. No one wants to go to prison or be sentenced to death, but people can undoubtedly reach a point where they feel forced to take action in order to protect themselves – or someone else – regardless of the consequences. She decided it was worth giving up everything in order to save her nieces from abuse she felt was imminent. I think the verdict was very fair. There had to be a penalty because, like she said, "What I did is not the answer."

However, if she would've walked in and seen him abusing the niece and was shocked by this I would have found her not guilty.
