The instructions for remote downdraft are contradictory. It would have helped if this would have been addressed in this video. There are no definitive down draft instructions.

Mine lasted ONE SEASON.And Honeywell wouldn't honor the 5 YEAR warrenty unless I hired a plumber at the rate of a hundred dollars an hour to certify the unit was defective. Who needs a plumber to tell you it isn't working? You turn it on and it works or it doesn't. Damm you Honeywell. You failed to get my confidence. BTW. The supplier who I bought it from told me my model was absolete .AFTER ONE YEAR? There will be NO MORE Honeywell products in this house

I agree it's an overpriced piece of junk. Mine lasted 1.5 years. Don't buy it. They say it has 5 year warranty but it's there call if it's covered burnt out element prob not covered and can't buy replacement.

Don't buy this piece of junk. I had a professional to install it at my house and it only lasts for 2 years.

How is it activated? Does it have a sensor or is it triggered by the furnace fan?

rare find... more people should post helpful videos like this one. this helped my decision in what humidifier to buy! i'll still have somebody professional to install this though. thanks so much!
