I like both groups ver much. I haveen CSNY several times live and enjoyed them, but found them way off key. Doing difficult harmonies which they do in the studio so beautifully, is very difficult to pull off live. I still enjoy their recordings alot tho'.
C'mon! I LOVE Orleans but you must have caught Stills on a bad night! I'll bet these guys grew up listening to CSN&Y harmonize!! They're great but Stephen Stills is a legend! 4 and 20......
I remember them playing ULowell back in like '77? ... yeah...within spittting distance of them...John Hall actually had hair back then! ...Now he's a rep right? from NY?God, so long ago... but it sure brings my HS/College days like they were yesterday! Thanks for this post... always loved this song!
Orleans opened for Stephen Stills at a theater I mangaed back in 1978-1980 and the crowd were assholes chanting "Still, Still" over and over and these guys were tighter than a drum and played Still in cirlces. Great band.
I was never a fan until they opened for Stills, I stood stage right and watched a few songs between taske and became an instant fan. They were very tight and sounded great on the big outdoor stage. When one works in the business you get a little "so what attitude" but these guys blew me away that night. This song was especially good. Have a safe Memorial Day.
What a awesome song- I was just in the process of re-arranging my LP's and I came across this LP, had to hear it again, Thanks BostonDanny for the post...
great fucking song i remember the original video this bald headed guy on the keyboards this music rules the lyrics are poems todays fucking music stinks.........we got to listen to single ladies fuck that..........
This song NEVER AGES. I can listen to it over and over and it never loses it's vitality. It remains contemporary 35 years after its release! Orleans: let's see if Justin Timberlake's stuff still sounds this fresh in 2030-something! :D
The lyrics to this song are absolute truth. I have used this song to teach my kids, especially my daughters, the difference between lust and love. I heard this song the year after high school for the first time. It's as good as ever in this video! Good work guys, ya still got it . . . "after all these years, you're still the one!"
i remember this band very well from my childhood. a great song they can actually replicate on-stage, a feat of talent that seems to trouble many new 'musicians'
if you dont like this...your not into good music...this is what talent sounds like

Hall is in this video, but wasn't on the original recording. Why did he quit in '77 ?

I met the band in 2010 and they are all approachable and decent guys. This happens to be my favorite Orleans song, but I like so many of their songs.
Support the band and buy their merchandise and CDs. Keep the music alive as long as possible. I would like to see them again in New Jersey.
THANKS HOPPENS AND THE WHOLE BAND.

I like CSNY recordings from the studio, but live I found them embarrasing

CSNY at Woodstock is not embarrassing. Amazing harmonies all the way. Check out Crosby & Nash at BBC. No one can beat that!
