@swimmagalmalki you have to unlock it (or buy it unlocked) and put your tmobile sim card into it. Tmobile wont care if you're using a iphone. However, if you are on at&t, they will detect the iphone (from the simcard) and they will automatically add on a data plan to your contract without even telling you.

Changing APN by the way you describe is just giving a fake address so your internet won't connect to the internet correct? This is like the data blocker called WIX Block that AT&T offers. Telling them to put this on your plan will block ALL DATA usage from your line. Meaning you can't go online at all, which is like the same as the APN change. So is it the same?

Yeah, WiFi will still work without the data plan. Basically with out the data plan the only thing you can't do is the online services. This APN changing thing acts like a blocker for you in case you would go online by accident.

Hey I tried that but its not working for me, I have downloaded the new IOS 4.0 when i go to the link and click fake APN it says that my operating system doesnt need it. @snoozing89 just call up att and tell them you lost your iphone. They will take your data plan of. Make sure you never use any wifi application when your not in a wifi hotspot or they will make you pay data and they wont inform you about it. Thats an alternate to the fake apn. Works better. tell me how it works for you =}

Hey im not from canada but i do have a rogers sim given to me by a friend who returned from his visit from CA, Cause im visiting QC (Montreal) soon, He told me about rogers and ive read alot of Negative reviews of rogers service's! Its a pity that roger and fido are the two only carrier that iphone works on. Hopefully all network carrier in canada will have the 4g set up and same goes for Australia & not just one network provider that does it.
