for me the winner is from the Philippines. It's very obvious. the way she pose, the way she walk, just by looking at her is the real supermodel. After that contest I never heard a name of Monica Schnarre.

Anna Bayle was the only asian supermodel during this time and from the Philippines, but if Melanie Marquez won they will become the two Asian supermodels of the 80's.

I really don't know why Canada won and I don't know what qualities the FORD agency searching for.

Monica Schnarre from Canada was the winner here. The only reason why she was selected I think was because she was young! She was not really a success as a model.
