? i kinda find it dumb to use propellers, they call it turbines, but the diagrams don't actually USE turbines! I like torches and liftts as much as the next mate, but this is < the wright bros. Its a good idea, but need VAST improvement!!
This has always been an untapped resource of power for a huge number of Counties that I have been in favor of and mentioned on many occasions during discussions about innovative natural and obvious sources of power generation.
Goodluck defeating the corptocracy who want the dependency on oil to prevail. Let you guys in on a little secret. Cannabis is illegal not because of reasons pertaining to consumption!
The oil powers will not let this go for very long. There is no profit in this so it will not happen. We should already have free energy. TESLA'S technology could have changed the way the entire world operates and lives.
from what I understand the (alleged) government fought against this in America. A company offered to build the second Narrows bridge in Tacoma WA if they could build the generator but the state (fiction) said no thanks man.
Generation one cant wait to see the new blade designs, Seems to me then you would need to make safe zones of unoccupied sea areas. keep the farms short sweet and issolated.
the structures over the water tell boats how close they can get and still be safe. Also, he says its 8 kilometers wide. i can sail a 10 meter sailing yacht through a 30 meter gap against the wind without much effort.
I hope sea life will just avoid the sound and the alienness of that object and keep a distance, if not i hope they can still move away when they notice the blades moving in the water. Dams are the real killers for wildlife, here wildlife can just stay near the shore.
2 times a day its not moving at all :) If there is rock underneath its quite easy, you temporarily need to get the ground fairly dry to drill holes and put in metal poles, that can be done using something like giant diving bells or ships that can lower 4 walls down onto the floor and pump it dry. Then, there are kinds of concrete that work in wet conditions or underwater. Once you have a reinforced concrete foundation with metal connectors sticking out, the rest is easy.
Tidal power is already working. It's pretty amazing. I just hope the seals, whales and submarines don't mind getting sliced into sushi when they travel through this channel.
@audadvnc Everyone seems to worry about the marine life with these turbines, yet no body minds at all how many animals get killed daily just from our roads. I wouldn't want to endanger an entire ecosystem but honestly i don't care if some seals get killed here and there.
Idiots...... who keeps making these things bladed.... they're going to massacre wild animals, how is that helping nature.

I want to know the cost per KWH.
Is it economical compared to coal?
Or is this thing just subsidized from taxpayers who are being forced to pay for it regardless of how much power they actually use?

@Peter4101 Another thing i know this wouldn't work in floridia. To many curious doo-gongs.

@Peter4101 Except there is much more space in the air than their is in the water. Doesn't this block sea life and ships as well as boats?

@playgrrrr Space is an issue. Time and space have alwase been a problem. Its all about location.

How the heck did they put it in the ground with the current that fast? That is a huge amount of water and it is really fast!
