I love this woman.. She has got to be the sweetest most caring person. She loves her fans and has even paid for some of them to see her on stage in the past. Those cheeks! She has Indian in her blood lines. She looks older than she was at the time but looks younger that she is now. Isn't that funny. I thought so anyway. She had a hard life when she was younger growing up then started having babies at 14.
Oh I do love Loretta Lynn, isn't she just the sweetest. I would love to see her in concert just once..George Jones is playing at my local civic center in Oct. wouldn't it be great if she joined him...
Not only is she the queen of country (along with Patsy, bless her soul), she seems like a very down-to-earth person. l bet she still cleans her own floors too. Could u imagine "country" bimbos like Carrie Underwood or Taylor Swift hawking floor wax, or actually using it? "Like yuk, l can't do housework, it'll mess up my daily manicure!!"
Loretta was saying just what the script required of her. Do you think they just threw her in front of a film crew and let her say what she wanted? It was the early 1970's and TV wasn't as polished as it is today.
this was filmed in the kitchen of her actual antebellum home. they lived in it from 1966 to 1988 then moved to a smaller new home they had built elsewhere on the ranch
Loretta has done many TV commericals in her long career including Johnson Wax, Crisco, AT&T, The Book, Clifty Farms Ham & Chevy Trucks. She will always be best remembered for her ten years with Crisco Oil and the 25 commericals she did for them between 1979 thru 1989. She also did radio jingles for Dr. Pepper, Coke, SSS Tonic to name a few.
I remember Loretta's Crisco commercials amunrey, especially the holiday promotional ones featuring her family coming over for Christmas and different family recipes (or perhaps recipes from Proctor & Gamble). Good memories there.
Man, I wish I had her cheek bones.

Yea, her twin's names are Patsy (named after the late Patsy Cline) and Peggy. They are singers themselves now.
