  • awesome idea dude, thanks.. Just found a Airhogs Jet set at the Goodwill thrift store for $4.99 and I already had the glider my girlfriend bought at the hobby store for a buck. Cheap hobby fun! ;)

  • @WontFallAgain cool. thanks! awesome find on that 4.99 deal. I run to the local thrift shop sometimes to look for cheap deals like that...but haven't found anything lately.

  • i have one i made a while back. its still flying today. i even got the biplane wing mounts from a balsa wood bi plane. it flies monowing or biplane :D

  • that jetstream is badd...i had one

  • Was it hard to learn to fly? that was cool joseph t fly2000jtb

  • @fly2000jtb Tx. The learning process is actually one of the most enjoyable part of this hobby. I learned off of a 2-ch wal-mart blue angles RC plane. I beat that thing to death, but ultimately learned how to fly with it. If you want to get into it, try a simulator first, then get to a big field and fly with a 2-ch first.

  • do you have the jet scream body cause ill take it

  • @link4899 sorry, it's long gone.

  • Try it with a larger balso wood glider and might fly better. Seems to much thrust power and not enough wing for stability?

  • @theleabres No. Thrust was perfect for the size. stability is due to bad center of gravity. I moved weight around and it flew much better.

  • @CrazyShot666

Then you certainly your modded RC planes. Thanks, I enjoyed watching this.

  • cool vid look at mine its like the same all most

just click my name and find it

  • oooooooooo end vid lol did it break

  • @wratchit No. it can take a lot of beating.

  • i got the air hogs jet set and if the elevator bends you cant fly cause it keeps flying up

and it is too floaty so i took it apart with a knife and now im going to do this when i get a chance to go to the hobby store

  • i tried that before i couldnt the c/g right... i knew it would work though!

  • dude nice

  • you should see air hog f 18

    fly

  • haha i live by the park lol to stokton yea

  • I made one but my dog chewed it in pieces.

  • Pretty damn good.

  • Wow! That thing is way better than the Air Hogs pile of crap. looks like more fun too.

  • cool i might make one but with a foam glider

  • i did the same thing but my dog ate mine

  • Cool idea. Did it fly better than the original AirHogs plane?

  • there were definitely some advantages. The original was too floaty and always wanted to dip up because of the design of the airframe. This one went nice and straight and handled wind much better.

  • did u make a vid tutorial? you should if you didnt

  • i got one of the jet streams they suck way to slow and floaty

  • You will probably get more flying time 'cause it's a glider... neat!

  • cool!

  • That's awsome. I got a storm launcher that I'm about to do that with. Good call on the wooden glider.

  • pls show me what i can add storm launcher engines to

  • fun

  • That's pretty sweet, I remember flying hundreds of those little balsa wood rubber band planes as a kid and thinking how cool it would be to have batteries motors and receivers small enough to make them fully functional rc aircraft. some of the things on the plantraco web site are amazing, I love modern technology and innovation.

  • Thanks. Lipo and brushless has definitely revived this hobby. Back in the days, you'd have to fly big gas models costing hundreds, if not thousands...and took many months if not years to make...and if you goofed you crashed on maiden. That discouraged me to fly. As you can see I now has many many planes after learning about lipo and brushless technology.

  • yeah those were so much fun, I made too many to remember...

  • wouldnt you beable to find the new frame at a dollar ftree or some place like that

  • no. not unless it's a used one at a thrift shop or some place similar.

  • lol i want to take mine apart and i just got it yesterday lol and i have to return it next week. i told my dad i wanted to try it out.. though i wana make a power glider...

  • youtube franken-plane you'll find my bipe :-) and see it fly.

  • that was posted by JBBabbitt though...is that another one of your account? cool bipe nevertheless

  • Yea Jbbabbitt is my flying buddy, hes got vids posted of me and I have vids posed of him. Thanks, that bipe is now retured and the guts made a 1oz Me-262 warbird.

  • Nice!!! I cant believe you took apart a good jetscream! I made my birds out of a cheaper airhogs planes Check out my 1 oz warbird me-262 and my frankenplane Bipe both totally modified with airhogs guts and li-po's.

  • While moving, the jetscream was put underneath a bunch of stuff and the plane was beyond repair. Will check out your frankenplane...

  • can it turn?

  • sure. it uses thrust vectoring to turn the plane. The air hogs guts is so nice, cause it gives you the ability to trim the thrust vectoring...basically to give more power to one motor over the other.

  • can i use a balso wood rubber band powered airplane body instead of the glider one?

  • Yep. that would work- just make sure the body is about the same in weight as the jetscream...because too much weight and it won't fly well. For any RC plane, the 3 most important factor is, center of gravity, weight, and thrust.

  • Do you think I can use the x twin jet motors instead of the jetscream moters? And also, do you just take the insides out of the plane and stick em on the glider? Plz tell me!!!! I really want to try!

  • Yep. x-twin will work. With the x-twin you can probably split open the foam up at the seam and take the guts out. The wires joining the receiver is pretty fragile, so be careful there. The most important thing is getting the center of gravity right on the new glider. the receiver portion you should glue right underneath the wings with the battery closer to the nose. If you fly and it nose dives too much, move the batter closer to the wings, if it climbs too much move closer to nose. Have FUN!

  • also, can i use the rubber band balsa airplane and take the rubber band part off or do i have to use the glider one only?

  • You should have put the EDFs on the glider... so much cooler

  • I tried that at first, but the glider was too small for the extra weight of the EDF...so I had to trim them off.

  • i dont feel so bad anymore for accidentally smashing the foam plane. haha... nice work!

  • nise nise wrk men is isi gool men

  • you want a plane idea go and jek my video
