1. You need to read up on some fairy tales, he's definitly not a fairy.

2. No it isn't. Her scent physically hurts him - if you'd read the books you'd understand. The basis of his attraction is that he can't read her mind like everyone else so he becomes facinated with her, then when she nearly gets crushed by the truck, he's horrified and saves her - thus realising he loves her. If you'd read the book you'd know.

3. He's not a stalker, he tried to keep away from her....

@DukesFan01 Perhaps I should point out that Pattinson himself has claimed Edward to be the most detestable character he's ever played (describing him as manic-depressive and comparing his profile to a potential ax murderer) and even stating, "the more I read about him, the more I couldn't stand this guy." He's also described the books as voyeurism, accused Smeyer of being in love with her fictional creation and calling her "absolutely mad."

@ronin6401 And? That's his opinion based on how he feels from reading the book - which you have yet to say you have done by the way. Everyone takes away from the characters what they will as well as from the storyline. I'm not gonna suddenly change my opinions of the character just because Robert Patterson disagrees. If he felt that strongly about it, maybe he shouldn't have taken the character.

@DukesFan01 And...it shows that even the guy who plays him realizes Edward's a douchebag. If nothing else it's earned him my respect and the promise to give him a mulligan should he make a non-twilight film. Furthermore, everyone needs a paycheck, especially in this economy.

And I have read the books, at least as much as I can stomach.  How anyone of a sane and rational mind can tolerate 200 pages at a time of Bella either whining or gushing about Edward's beauty is quite beyond my ken.

@ronin6401 Oh no that I agree with, Bella is completly and utterly ridiculous in the books and deserves to be slapped numerous times throughout most of it with a good dose of being yelled at to grow up while someone's at it. I tend to glaze over the gushy beauty stuff, it gets a lot repetitve. And should he make a non-twilight film? Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire? Remember Me? Remember me is an amaaaaazing film, very powerful. I'm sorry, but I love Edwards character and Carlisle's.

@DukesFan01 Unfortunately that leaves you with maybe 20 pages of fanfiction. As for the movies, I'm not really a Harry Potter fan. I'm more Tolkien, Robert E. Howard, Michael Moorcock (if you don't know the last two, look them up) or anything that would have Dragonforce songs on their soundtrack. And Remember Me got even worse reviews than New Moon so I didn't waste my time or money with it. Answer me this at least, what makes Edward so appealing anyway?

I always watch a movie and make up my own mind, I dont pay attention to what the reviewers say otherwise your basing your own opinions on theirs, its not your own personal opinion. Remember Me is amazing, and I know loads of people who agree. I really dont know what it is about Edward that appeals to me. I like his old fashioned thinking, his desire to protect the ones he loves so furiously, and occasionally his sense of humor.....

@DukesFan01 Yeah well I find that spill.com is pretty accurate in their reviews with only an 8% margin of error (do a search here for Spill.com Remember Me to see for yourself). There are a lot of times that I ignored their critique of a particular film (like the abominable Clash of the Titans remake) and I regretted it so you'll forgive me if I take your opinion of Remember Me with a grain of salt. Give Rob a role in the next Hellboy movie, then we'll talk.

He goes through a lot to be with Bella but he doesn't say anything about it - we dont find out what the thirst of human blood feels like to a vampire until breaking dawn cause Bella doesn't know. He suffers to be with her, he risks a great deal and I think most girls find that attractive, the idea a guy could protect you and love you so much.

I realize Smeyer belongs to the same religion that started that Arizona Cult where the men had multiple wives some as young as 13, but religous tolerance only goes so far. And I fail to see how tresspassing and spying on someone without their knowledge or consent or attempting to control every aspect of their lives passes as romantic. Even Rob himself admits that anyone who is a 104 year old virgin has issues.
