  • good information. I never really looked into creating channels. Might be worth while!

  • Why is the person standing in front of the wall reading a script? Put the person in a comfortable setting and let the instructor talk normally. This is very hard to understand. The monotone is not helpful. This should be redone by some people who are willing to edit and put together a nice tutorial. What is a channel? How could I track Page Two of Site Number Three and Page Six of Site Number Four? Thanks. Sorry to be negative but we are talking about money.

  • this video about adsense is very helpful information. thank you keep up the good adsense team.

  • all of your video and tutorials are blurry or incomplete!

  • @jaabvw switch from 5pt to 240pt, no problem at all

  • Your videos do help publishers understand targeting channels. If we have a solid good website with several pages and the websites receives a lot of traffic each month, informing advertisers about your site and ad placements does help increase adsense revenue. Thanks for the video.

  • Hi, How many channels are we allowed to create and how to track Ads preformance on 2 sites? thanks

  • What Are the Channels!!!!

  • funny right at the end! The young man goes, "Thankyou for your AD-ttention"

  • thanks bro ,nice video

  • is it just me or does it appear he is about to burst with laughter and excitement but manages to just barely hold it in the entire time? Thanks for the video btw!

  • Thanks, nice video. i prefer free google autopilot strategy, using since 2008 and very happy...

  • This is a general criticism of Google, and I think it relates to channels.

Let's say you write a winning blog post about flea collars. Then 1,000,000 flea collar surfers show up on your doorstep. Now that is an awesome opportunity (albeit a gross one) and of course you want to write more about flea collars.

But let's say I'm also a Quantum Physics genius. Too bad. Google is stuck in EITHER-OR mode (Western thinking) and now can't recognize I am more than a flea collar expert.

  • Also, you realize you're going to get stuff like ************COME ON, ADVERTISE ON THIS SITE ****** HERE !!! ****** keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword, keyword

I think it would make more sense to use radio buttons, checkboxes, and let the algorithms work their magic. That way you would get a more structured response.

  • Don't your crawlers know if my ads are above the fold? If they don't, that's a shame--seriously. For a company as large as Google. Come on guys, get coding!

Also, this should be opt-out, not opt-in. Of course I want advertisers to bid on my spots directly, isn't that the whole point of using Adsense, to take the negotiation and complexity out of selling advertising?

  • Seems like Google should already know which channels are RoS?

And Google should know (as well as anyone) income-level estimates, age/sex distribution, etc. That's not really something I want to cut-paste from Quantcast.

Of course I *can* cut/paste from Quantcast if you put a gun to my head, LOL.

My site is mostly visited by teen girls, but my content isn't sex-biased or age-biased. I think Google depends a little too much on classification assumptions--try to think more multi-faceted.

  • i have a Youtube video that got approved for adsense. Not sure how that makes sense. Does that mean i can choose to have those ads that come up on the bottom of the vid? If so, how do i get it to work? I've tried several things.

  • We need more detailed videos. Speaker is trying to cover toooo much at once. For a multi million dollar company, google can be shockingly inept sometimes.

  • @easypenny You mean multi-Billion. Big difference.

  • @easypenny I think they want to make the web more "fun and hip" but sometimes you just want the facts, not a cute skit. No offense to Laurence. Keep in mind Google is run by PhDs who were picked on in school, this is their chance to be cool.

  • Thank You, very much for your help you give a good explanation, keep your hands in the poket o what ever you like, but your intelligency in your head, Blessings

  • Sir! Get your hands out of your pockets!!.... So unprofessional....

  • @ilikeyoutub07 it's like his hands have been sewn to his inner pocket lining

  • why don't you have a video on ad feeds that part i don't understand

  • I don't understand the channel thing at all. Can you use ANY website as a channel or does the website have to belong to you? Please help.

  • Of course you must own the web site... or at least have the owners permission to put your ads on it.

  • Why are his hands in his pockets?

  • Do you have video about AdSense for Domains ?

    NO?

Is it paid per clicks or per impresions?

  • Thanks Laurence. 5 stars... I am barely learning about channels in my adsense.

  • Great videos! Thank you!

  • Only f***** and sailors are named Lawrence.

  • THANKS LAWRENCE for info on promoting Targetable Ad Placements. The screen example was good. - I've wondered how to let these potential advertisers know more about valuable choices.

  • Good one, although I feel that he tried to cover toooo much in one video. Do it again and split it into two or three making it even more detailed. Keep it up. Well done. Beginners need this. More, please.

  • LAURENCE!!! UR SO HOT!!!
