  • Good stuff!

  • WRONG not the quietest. Try standard Colibri 325fps.

  • I shot a round through my Ruger 22/45 and thought it was damn loud. In fact, I think it was just about as loud as a CCI Mini Mag!

  • If it's just the primer , why not just get regular .22 rounds and remove the gun powder?

    Just wondering...

I read some reviews on these, on the cabela's site, one they're very dirty, so you're going to have to clean your gun often, and they give off a foul smell..., bit the price was about $50 for 500 round with a ammo box.

Pros: they have good stoping power 50 yards under.

Sound about like a air rifle

  • @oakland002 its some primer like propellant they use, its not just regular primer chemical.

  • just bought a batch of these, can't wait !!

  • What gun are you using?

  • @deathrooster14 mossberg 702

  • Hey dude whered you buy those at? cause the places Ive checked around this week all said they were charging 14 bucks for shipping. hit me back if you can if not...Rad vids!

  • @jamescorfield sportsmans guide

  • @zboyco Thanks Man.

  • @zboyco also might this work in a 10/22 Thx BTW

  • Hey so is this quiet enough to shoot in the garage of a towns home if you were sure there is no way anyone could get ingered like you had a dirt mound behind it or something

  • @Timespartan111 id say yes

  • Lol those are awesome. I am gonna get some. Lol they are better than my method of shooting inside the house. I buy some .22 subsonic blanks (way less loud than a 22 subsonic round) and I attach a pellet to the end of the blank by using super glue lol.

  • Just took out a coon last night off my roof, these things are great.

  • aight just bought some of these. given, they are extremely quiet. within say 15 feet, the iron sights will work fine. the only problem i have is they are really not that lethal. i have been getting solid body shots on birds and it takes about 4-5 shots to kill something! good for quiet, not for killing

  • I read that because of the lack of powder, it's recommended that you shoot them out of a pistol with a shoter barrel, because they'll get stuck.

  • @spookypunky thats with the regular super colibri

  • Asssface both of those would splatter a squirrel... Haha

  • Mrbadx, too bad it don't shot that fast... Haha

  • would you need to zero these vs. regular .22 ammo?

  • @kumadog286 yes you have to zero them in there real good up to 50 yrds after that they are not pinpoint but you can still hit a can its just after 50 yrds they drop fast so to sight it in that far would be bad because up close it would be way off i sighted at 25 yrds and just aim a little hi at distance its perfect for the cats in the trash i mean varmints

  • @shootcentermass aguila makes a 60 grain sub sonic 22LR bullet that does nice damage (it'll scramble brains at mid range, that's what it's made for) center mass shots, forget about it, you'd need a main artery shot, it won't shroom or nothing in tissue, it'll piss the person off who you shot!

  • These are wonderful! I can sit out in my back yard and shoot these to my heart's content and they are so quiet, nobody notices what I am doing. & they are fairly accurate! Powerful? Nope, I wouldn't call a 20 grain hollow-base lead bullet @ about 550 feet-per-second, powerful. In fact, DON'T shoot anything made of metal, like a door hinge, because the bullet will bounce right back at you! Light bullet/pellet traps are OK. I'd advise to put some wood or a thick phone book behind your targets.

  • i think i will try some of these. do you think you could shoot these in a pellet trap?

  • @busyhands94 id say so

  • how far into wood will these shoot? like a pine board or a 2X4?

  • @busyhands94 you aren't gonna try these in your derringers are you? they're louder in shorter barrels. i fired one from my walther g-22, wasn't that loud. tempted to buy a brick of them for my marlin 70PSS.

  • i was actually planning on building a falling block rifle, i wanted some quiet ammo that i could teach my mother how to shoot with.

  • @busyhands94 if it's 16-20 inches, just keep the barrel clean. i'm assuming you're making a smooth bore rifle. clean it every 100-150 shots (look through it at 100 shots, i hear this shoots a bit dirty) at 16" inches, the action of the gun might equal the firing of the bullet, target impact is louder than the actual firing. go by that. make a video of that, i'd watch it!

  • it will be rifled because i am not interested in conicals out of a smoothbore barrel, they just keyhole and i would like tight groupings. i will be buying my barrel soon! i am also designing a break-open .22 single shot handgun, it will have a good long octogonal barrel for enhanced accuracy and some really nice sights on it. that will be for hunting rabbits with regular ammunition and for indoor shooting using Aguilla super colibris.

  • @busyhands94 cool, i'll look forward to those videos, my friend. you are one crafty kid! but shooting 20 grain bullets at like 500-600 fps, lethal on rodents and birds. if you were "busyhands87" i'd be worried a bit. i look forward to the single shot .22 handgun. rock on, my friend!

  • well thank you! i am planning on doing a black powder rifle video too, it will be advanced for some people but it should be rather interesting. i will be making it with only hand tools. the rifle will be over and under .22 caliber with a smoothbore on the bottom (for rat and snake shot) and a rifled one on top (for regular hunting)

  • @busyhands94 it is almost the exact same of shooting a .22 pellet rifle around 500 fps

  • thanks for the review i will try some of these.

  • Colibrí is the same as hummingbird

  • @shootcentermass only 5 out of 10 as you must get a jugular, eye, or temple shot from close distance

  • this would be great for plinking a bolt action, pump action, or lever action .22 in the backyard or basement of a decent sized property, but other than that they're pretty useless it appears. If it's cost-efficient, I'm sold, but if it costs too much, just give me an air rifle or airsoft gun for backyard plinking.

  • You know you can buy regular "Colibri" right?

Super Colibri is about 75% louder than Colibri.

  • Less noise then co2 pistol or even a rifle. The noise level is more comparable to a Daisy red rider bb gun. But they have good power as much as a $100.00 or more air rifle. Accuracy is not the greatest but inside 10-15 Yards they work great.

  • I just bought the exact same box of this stuff - and its over Hyped. I was expecting the the exact outcome as the rest of these videos - and its much louder than I expected.

I shot 1 round from my Beretta 21a, and was way too loud to be fired within the city limits.

  • @xtraflo a beretta 21a has a 2 in barrel, dope! you need 16+ inches to get a quiet shot. aguila recommends pistols, but not rifles, fact is, it's quieter in longer barrels, they don't wanna be libel if a bullet gets stuck in a longer barrel. i've only fired one so far. i hear you need to clean your rifle barrel after every 100 shots or so, for they shoot "dirty" and that would cause a barrel jam.

  • Aguila sale on Cabelas now with free ammo box. Cali people better get them before the ban starts!

  • are super colibri rounds legal in california and could it cycle through a gsg-5?

i'm still learning about gun laws

  • @SALROBEEUQIREJ no, GSG-5 guns like high velocity rounds to cycle well. not sure about the cali law stuff. i would think they would be legal

  • I'd be careful about using this round indoors, due to the lead components in the primer.

  • i shoot these in all my .22's

they are fun as hell, pretty accurate. a survival MUST HAVE.

  • @asssface2000

    Survival?

Why would you want an anemic .22 in a survival situation?

  • @damarei for extended firefights...............................asshole to shoot little critters without calling in all the hungry sheeple like you.

  • @asssface2000

    >my face when colibri won't reliably take a squirrel: $:|)

    >my face when you're a fudd out in the middle of nowehere

  • @damarei they are very accurate and pack enough punch to kill small game out to 50 yards. i can ring a 10" gong at 100 yards all day with these.

and dont worry about me surviving, ill be just fine.

  • @asssface2000

Why don't you look up how many foot pounds of force these things administer upon impact

  • @damarei 11ft lbs. congrats on your statistic reading skills. i have real world expirience with them. they dont hit like 11ft lbs, they hit pretty good for what they are, and way harder than any fucking bb gun. your biggest mistake is thinking that i give a SHIT ABOUT YOURS OR Anyone elses opinions. do what you wanna internet commandos got all the answers.

  • @asssface2000

These aren't opinions, genius; they're scientific facts.

If you're killing small game with these, you're an irresponsible and unethical hunter.

  • @damarei and you have just exposed yourself for the know-nothing geek kid that you are.

  • @asssface2000

"use enough gun" is one of the fundamental rules of hunting

  • @damarei oh ok, so what would you reccomend for squirrels and rabbits? is a .270 or 30.06 enough gun?

people kill coyotes with bb guns dipshit.

  • @asssface2000

For squirrels and rabbits, a high velocity .22lr or .410 shotgun is wonderful, depending on state laws.

    >BB gun for coyotes.

    >confirmed for being an ignorant fudd

  • @damarei you are obviously some european city dwelling troll so STFU im done with you. you dont know shit about shit faggot!

  • @asssface2000

    You seem upset

  • @asssface2000

    Pay attention everyone:

Here we observe the Fudd in his natural habitat: angry, defeated and spewing ad hominems that make no sense

  • i shot the regular colibri's out of my 10/22 rifle 16'' original barrell and they didnt get stuck "squib". i was pretty happy they are literally silent just make sure you hear or see the impact " pigeons falling off the roof" haha good video

  • I never even knew they made a round weaker then the cb short, I am putting in my order for a brick of these...

The cb shorts can be a little loud in my 10/22, but I think these will do the trick. I work a lot and love to shoot inside, however I live in a subdivision and sometimes worry about noise issues. And with laws like they are, we all have to worry some. In some places it is illegal to shoot a BB gun, even inside... However that is not the case were I live.. These are a god send for us.

  • only 14.7 ft pounds of energy out of a 20" barrel, but Still awesome.

  • it looks like your shooting from a semi auto gun and all you have to do is work that action manualy after each shot?? u ever have any jams?

  • @pyropaintball1313 thats correct. its rendered a bolt action rifle

  • @pyropaintball1313 Must cycle the action after each shot.

  • can get it right up the road at vandalia tactical $4 a box : )

  • works great in my remington pump action quieter than a pellet gun

  • @ESECK13 marlin well my father went looking foe a marlin 30-30 winchester and the dumb ass told my dad they didnt exist any more fucking retard.

  • hell yeah i am ordering some in two weeks

i bet you like in Florida LOL

  • it sounds exactley like a c02 pistol!

  • A lot of folks don't undertand what these were designed for. They're for Hunting Squirrel or what ever type of bird..Most important though, they're quiet so it wont alert/Scare other game in the forest, which is important so you can get more kills/game without scaring them away.

  • @ESECK13 As Eseck said-U wouldnt have the same cylce action. This should be used in a Bolt-action rifle, or a Revolver pistol. Some Semi-Auto Pistols would be okay, u'd need to investigate which ones though..

  • @xtraflo Also, these would work great for a pump-action .22, which the Colibri (or CB style round) originates from the .22 BB Cap which was used in pump-action "gallery" guns, such as those at an old county fair.

  • @ESECK13 as long as you use the super colibri and not the regular colibri then its ok in a rifle. it just wont cycle the action. you have to do that each time.ive never had a lodge in the barrel of my 16 inch semi

  • @zboyco You can used the standard Colibri also.

  • were did u order them from want to try some of those or can i get them at a store

  • @1996chevrolet ammunitiontogo site

  • @1996chevrolet try ur local gun shop they should have them cus over here in texas i get them from my local gun shop.

  • Good video!! What were you using a pistol or a rifle?

  • @Xxoo0o0o0ooxX from a rifle

  • Where did you buy, and how much?

  • so that bid long shell on them is filled with nothing?

  • @woa11 just fires off the primer concussion

  • dude everytime i type in a cool video it gets to you lols

  • Anyone know if the sss snipers would be just as quiet??? These work in my wildcat .22

  • do you think that is stronger or an pellet

  • stronger than most pellet guns unless its a pneumatic 1000 dollar type pellet gun

  • @georgevang97 I build custom .22 air pistols that will sling a 20 Gr H&N pellet over 600 FPS

  • these would work perfectly in my single six

  • I don't quite get the purpose of these rounds. Same power as a high powered pellet gun, but $35 a brick of 500??? I say, either buy a $200 high powdered BB gun, or pay a $200 tax stamp and make a quick $10 silencer and have it be quieter and more powerful than any of these specialty rounds

  • Nice phonebook, i live in lehigh good to know im not the only colibri fan not fay away.

  • In england we call these .22CB, they suck basically, the sub sonic hollow points are better rabbit killers

  • These aren't quite the same as CB, they are even weaker. CB here run around 29 grains, these being only 20, and CB is about 750 fps, these are 500, the regular colibri (not super colibri) are only 375. Much quieter than CB's even. Hammer falling is way louder. Think of it like a CB in a silencer. Power is about or slightly less than an airgun and they are much quieter. These do kill, but they drop off after only 30 yards, so you have to take careful close in shots. 18.5"+ barrel and it's silent.

  • that was pretty awesome, sounded like a bb gun

  • whoa

  • Comment removed

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • havent tried them in the marlin yet. wouldnt see why they wouldnt work fine

  • ok colibri in spanish is a type of bird that collects nectar and aguila is pronousd agila

sorry for my english thanks for posting this vid

  • make a video of you shooting them with your marlin!! please! :)

  • nice shots on dem yella's tho, keep em comin

  • I'd shoot some cans in my backyard if i didn't think someone might spy with their little eye what im doing and call in the heavies, I know a dude who almost got himself killed by police for playing with a gas pistol

  • thanks dude that is awesome! where can you get this bullets??

  • midway cheaperthandirt ammunitiontogo

  • how much r u payin 4 22 shell damn 26 buck is bs i can get 1100 rds of 22 from wal mart 4 that much here

  • actually just found a place where they are 20 bucks for a 500 pack. these specialty rounds are gonna run a few more bucks. you cant shoot normal .22 when you have neighbors!!!!!

  • potato or a soda bottel with duck tape shot it out once then put that spray foam in it then just dril it abt 20 mins all around the gas an sound will quite it down i have dont it for yrs with 22 lr an mag in town at my land lord garden lol

  • did you find any of the rounds in the phone book?

  • oh yea. they were all able to be pulled out

  • Nice man, I'm going to have to check these out!

  • You shoot at your house!!! Why would anyone shoot their own house?

  • well im not shooting my house. im shooting in it. LOL

  • Excellent vid. Thanks for the info

  • ur welcome

  • I have shoot some of the 9mm stuff from them not bad ammo. But not that accurate i have since sold my 9mm but they went bang every trigger pull.

  • I just checked Cabelas and there is a note advising to use with handguns only? Any reason you can think of that they would say that? Thanks.

  • there is regular colibri at 375 fps for handguns and super colibri running at higher fps for rifles and handguns. some say the regular colibri will get lodged in rifle barrels. thats why i believe

  • Possibly not enough energy to exit the barrel of a rifle. Primer only, no powder.

  • Five Stars My Friend!

  • Check out the SSS 60 grain subsonics.

  • would you say they are quiet enough to fire in your backyard with neighbors 100 feet away?

  • No. Still significantly quieter than a normal .22lr. I own a few boxes of both. I have had a .... problem with stay pests in the neighborhood messing up property.

Colibre doesn't have enough power to get the job done. The SSS travels ~800 fps with a 60 grain bullet. It's a heavy hitter.

  • what percentage quieter would you say the SSS is compared to a standard .22LR?

  • 60-70% quiter for the SSS. Colibre being 95% quieter.

The SSS sounds like an air tool like maybe a nail gun running on low pressure when it's fired from a 16" barrel.

  • cool. im gonna try a box out

  • Thats dope. Makes me wanna get a .22 rifle that much more.

  • what is the joules of that thing when it hits?

  • not sure. i would have to research that

  • About 15.06 joules or 11.11 ft. lbs. at 500 fps.

  • do you know if i can buy those in sweden? would be perfect for my rifle... i can shoot them in my appartment then :)

  • umm...I'm not sure if you could. You probably could if you got them off the internet but I rarely see these in stores in the U.S.

  • would be fun to shoot when i dont have anything else to do :)

  • hell now i can shoot the guy breaking into the house and not wake the neighbors....nice find on that ammo.

  • @Goindeff I know right! I should get a box to get those damn rabbits!

  • damn those rabbits. cool stuff. Tried to go to the range again....posted a video today...it was not a success

  • cool my air gun has power power

  • this shit'll fuck an air gun up. lol

  • You're right 500 fps sucks. The only thing it'd be good for is maybe an assassin close range back of the head kinda thing.. LOL

  • it will take out varmint no problem close range

  • Wow I'll have to see if I can get some at the next gunshow.

  • ammunitiontogo has them
