I believe that a tornado warning bulletin on TV should be rather imposing to grab viewers' attention...however, was this actually used on any station, or is it a complete work of fiction?
I hope to goodness this network doesnt use or did not use this graphic to go into tornado warnings. The extra few seconds that the graphic takes instead of just flipping the camera on with a meteorologist on the air could become a lifetime if a tornado is actually on the ground.
it's a cut from the Hearst Argyle News Package called "Severe weather 30 rhythm" I know, because I took it off the cd labeled "HEARST ARGYLE NEWS PACKAGE"
Wow: ah, the whole idea for a Tornado Warning is to alert the public in as calm, yet firm a manner as possible. This would scare the living shit out of a lot of people I know. Wake up in the night to turn on the TV for a quick second, and that voice and siren comes out: jeez.
If you want to get someone's attention, just throw up the EAS screen or a tone with an alert bar running. You really don't need all the drama like this here to get a heads up to people..
Yep thats oklahoma...i know the attempt at striking fear into the hearts of the viewers....listen closely at the start for the death bell tones and the small tornado siren
Why does it freeze at 0:11 ?

I would argue that the point of a tornado warning is also to get people's attention. This will certainly do so.
