No, corruption is the thing in M2TW that takes away from your city's income depending on how far away it is from your capital. It's annoying and prevents you from building huge empires. I was wondering whether SEGA put it the Empire too?

I have a 2 ghz intel core 2 duo mac and recently got empire total war for pc. I am having trouble after installing it. It says i cannot use fat32 and i need ntfs only on the windows partition collar. I need to install it without ruining my mac's files. Steam is not letting me use the game. I was wondering if anyone knows a solution.

Only 12 factions are immediately playable I believe. But if the game files are set as in the previous games editing the text should allow you to play as pretty much anyone. I'm looking forward to giving Denmark-Norway a spin.

this game is epic, you can complete long campaign without setting foot on 2 3rds of the map, and you can dod tht FIFTY times!!!

lol, there will be probably 15 factions in germany and italy alone, as it completely consisted of smaller kingdoms, and it seems they didn't leave out any smaller ones either, was quite surpised to see that the Hospitaller knights/Maltezers also join the fight! or are they english colonies? because I noticed the flags of colonies and motherlands differ

the small factions are not playable at least from the beginning and malta is a one state nation conrolled by knight of st john, i could se further details of other nations because of fog of war

Later in the campaign (if you last that long) you will aquire the colonies (If British). I don't know if it works for everyone because I noticed my friend never got the colonies and had to capture them.

i was playing the short campaign (50 years)(100 turns summer and winter) and i didn't manage to get the colonies either because doing so means war with two countries (france and "cherokee"), now i'm playin sweden and i'm doing better.

No Portugal at all, even if you beat campaign they arent there? Remember this though, they become very small in the 16-1700's. Nonetheless, their presence should be noticeable. BUT, not a reason to hate the game man!

But we discovered like all the African west coast and south one too and we were the first civilizacion that went to India by sea...and we werent small....we had timor, moçambique and Angola and Brazil so we were quite large...even after losing Brazil....CA should have puted them playable
