@zer0nable i agree with you, but the term "old-school" or "classic" has many different meanings. i'm 39 y/o, so to me the classics are those from the era you mentioned-1978-1985, but to those people who are in their late 20s, their classic era is the 90s, those in their late teens or early 20s, their classic era is 1999-2009. and yes, today's hip hop music is crap compared to those from the 80s & early 90s.
