I grew up listening to older stuff from the 70s like Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, Blue Oyster Cult, AC/DC, Rush, Queen and many others thanks to my dad. I got myself into the heavier stuff like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Megadeth, etc. I love this music. I just can't stand the stuff that people are listening to these days.

Dude, I was born 1983, and even though I wasn't really out of early childhood until '90, I can tell you that those were awesome years! This music had the extra effectiveness of being cutting edge for the time.

I remember my then 15 old cousing bring in Megadeth to my 5 year old self in 88, and it scared the shit out of me and my buds! This music is the best!
