I like the lack of set..the set always seemed to bind the male dancer in a strict parameter...with the exception of the window! I miss that! Gudanov does seem to bring Nijinsky back to life!

I love Dmitri in this role; I don't know why but it seems to suit him, he is a very graceful dancer... and Anastasia Goryacheva is beautiful too, of course. Is she a principal dancer, too? With the Bolshoi? Oh and I agree that there could at least be a window :) But the dancing is what is most important, and the dancing is spectacular.

I will not comment except to say that,Dmitri Gudanov stands in a straight line along with the greatest dancers of all time,beginning with the first(YES) Watslaw Nijinsky.

I always close my eyes and try to imagine the great Nijinsky performing this role that he first performed. And judging from the few photos we have of him in this role I try to figure out which male dancer most closely resembles his style. :)

Beautiful! The only negative thing was a lack of the set. I was taken by Manuel Leris and Claude de Vulpian and thought there was no equal. This was just as beautiful despite the lack of scenery.
