    Firslty, Greece never existed, City States existed as the name implies they were states not kingdom. However, Macedonia was a monarchy and Macedonians were distinct people from the City States with their own customs and beliefs.

    Macedonians fought for Macedonia not for some other nation or tribe and they were what they believed they were - Macedonians.

  • @KingAlexander323bc Greece as a *nation* didn't really exist. They didn't exactly have the concept of a nation.
