very talented, but i dont find this to be well put together. i think they need to have more of a mixture, not just crazy picking the whole song, slow it down off and on.

go ahead and thumbs down if you dont like people to have thoughts and talk about them in a polite way.

@ooosteve I´m a flamenco player, of those brought up in playing for singers and dancers in the south of spain, and I think you´re right.

it´s also about the swing...they running an drunning too fast, even when they try to keep a slow pace...so it sounds like they don´t taste notes, but just are jsut having akind of competion....It´s specially disgusting when you know that they are great mussicians, and are able to do wonderful music.

Playing with an awsome flamenco player with a splendid right hand one can recognize how poor rythm playing with a plectrum sounds opposed to flamenco strumming.

@FreeGuitarLicks I accept your opinion, but I doubt it. No one can match the most versatile style, dozends of different types and ways to attack the strings, with one finger only all three or more of the right hand etc. etc. How will you achieve that with a pick. Thy gypsy jazz players are virtuosos of their kind, but I have never admired their right hand in rythm plaing. With a pick you can more or less attack the strings only in some very limited ways. No comparison to flamenco.

I went to see these guys during this tour. I didn't know anything about guitar, but my brother's friend could not go so I was it. I did not know how three unaccompanied guitarists could pull off an entire show. I found out in a big hurry. They would just transition between each one of their own songs. I later became a big fan of jazz guitar following RTF and others. I just wish they would reunite. I have seen Mahavishnu, AL and Paco separately. I would give my left Testi to see them again.

Yeah dude, I saw stanley clarke, al dimeola and jean luc ponty in the same show here in texas. I shit my pants at least 3 times. My friends and I shouted out to play school daze and they did for like 15 minutes!! it was soooo awesome. Just thought I would say that. The best show EVER.

Al's vibrato is so tight.. as for "imagine Slash playing with them", I am pretty sure he meant that it WOULDN'T sound good because Slash does not express the intense feeling and soul that these men do, at least in the context that we have heard him in.

I like Slash, but he's not nearly as good as them technically. They'd be playing too fast for him to keep up.

These guys are musical gods and while I may like one more than the other, I do not take ANYTHING away from supreme talent like these guys. We're all just blessed to even hear this type of blissful and souful music.

What these guys have been doing now for quite a few years is just a gift for the senses, This is ART. It makes me laugh the comments of some people regarding who's best, fastest, but that is almost an insult to their art. I just feel so good I can get lots of material from these guys, their compenetration, fushion of styles, their fraseado. It really puts in perspective what guitar playing can be, and separate the boys from the men. Imagine Slash playing with them.

I truely truely admire these guys. I mean they are all well studied and well versed. However I always find their solos to be very hollow and robotic. I mean I feel no soul in what they play. I really don't know how to explain it. I mean this performance was impressive but not inspiring to me.
