I did the same exact thing in a different way. I don't know how but when I started a new game I was given all my equipment maxed out frommy previous save file. So i simply powered the broke mechanism with the Whip weapon, and didn't have to ever go through aphrodite and stuff ;D

@kobrakaiden This video was done before the NG+ (all weapons glitch) was known. At the time this was the only way to skip this area.

I successfully did this but it was thru an important playthrough so I had to load all the way back to the princess.

i noticed that you have no pause after your forward rolls that you do with the right stick while on the ground. how did you accomplish this?

@DaKoolKat Keep R-stick pressed in the direction you want, and then mash the "Square" button.

@mad4eva100 You can skip the actual fight, but its useless because you cant proceed withouth getting that thing the scorpion gives you.

I'm trying to beat it in Titan mode and it's a pain.

I always thought after doing the Jet dash, you can't do it immediately again after a few seconds. I'll try that out sometime

@karpfenaut These skips are usually for exploit speedrunning. Which is a category of speedrun.

The Air Rush could be used for wall clips also, no?

So no need to tap R-stick then? Just L2 and keep R-Stick pressed in right direction?

Havent tried wall clips. You only need to push R-stick forwards once at the top of the double jump, and then (correctly timed) press L2 like a trigger. Youve probably done it by now. Ive also come up with a "Super Glide", you can cross the large harpy Chasm after the Olympus Puzzle thingy. Ive got a vid up of it.

im playing trough on chaos mode and this may be really helpful cuz that fight is probably really hard and i dont think the weapon u get after that is that useful most of the time.

although i found it very useful while fighting zues
