  • I can just imagine some awesome half bald Asian guy jamming the shit out of his Casio keyboard. XD

  • The magic of this song is that it takes 1 second to understand that that game will kick your ass!

  • all the power of heavy metal in 16 bits!!!!! \m/

i miss those days where games got metal and rock music ):

  • all the power of heavy metal in 16 bits!!!!! \m/

  • I had this as the ring tone to my previous phone. My current phone however lacks the ability to record your own music. =*(

  • Epic game, but not as challanging as Hellfire

  • MD music= listening to a proper instrument (like the C64 SID for example) SNES music= sounds like a crap 1990s pc sample machine. Test of time, all the great tunes are MD/Genny ones I think. (Obviously bias! are we not all!)

  • Pure aggression stuffed into 34 seconds.

  • This is my moble ringtone. :p

  • @Eurphy *gasp* how u get this as a ringtone?! i want it too!!!

  • the Genesis always had a sueprior sound system... even if the SNES had better graphics...

  • @fatraju ...Isn't it supposed to be the opposite? I still prefer Genesis music though.

  • @GamerBoy53

That's the usual assumption. Most people say the SNES has better sound, and that the Genesis has better graphics. But IMHO, I think it's the other way around.

But on topic, does the guitar riff remind anyone of the Power Rangers theme? XD

  • @SonicTheJackrabbit You're right about the SNES having better graphical capabilities, it can draw more sprites on screen, and with more colors as well. Technically the SNES sound chip is more "advanced", but it usually sounds muffled, whereas the Genesis sounded somewhat clearer. They were both great, but better for different things, the SNES couldn't have done Adventures of Batman and Robin, or Streets of Rage very well, and the Genesis couldn't have done Chrono Trigger either.

  • @singularity3 Actually, The Genesis could handle more sprites than the Snes could. The Genesis could support a max of 80 on the screen at once, and had less lag than the Snes. Take a look at Final Fight and Streets of Rage, How many enemies appear on screen at once? FF usually has 3 or less. Sometimes SoR has 10! At one point I counted 12!

  • @mistertitanic The Genesis supported 80 on screen and 20 per line. The SNES could draw 34 per line and up to 128 on screen at once. It doesn't get any more clear than that.

  • @singularity3 Yeah it could have more oin screen. But it lagged far more often. Thats my point.

  • @mistertitanic Well, the genesis had a much more flexible VDP, that's probably why. Not many games were really able to make the most of the SNES's high sprite limits, Super Turrican 2 and especially Rendering Ranger are two of the best though.

  • @singularity3 ? eh did you hear adventures of Batman and Robin on the SNES? Very different soundtrack, and fits the game better!

We used to get different games for different systems. You'd get, say Animaniacs on SNEs, and maybe see Animaniacs on Genesis/Megadrive, and they'd be two different games. Nowadays everythings just made for porting.....

  • damn i remember when this came out, i rented it for a month straight and then i ended up buying it, its super hard to find ppl doing some of the BGM in an actual band,

i am sooo hoping someone does requiem for war (boss 10) tune

  • Lightning Force/Thunder Force 4 is an awesome game. Its full of heavy tracks like this.

  • Looks like an awesome game

  • @PussyWart855

think back to the early 90's mobile phones have more processing power today than the consoles of those days lol

  • @PussyWart855

    IT IS!

And this is one great opening theme (with a barrel rolling ship ;) ). Gets you pumped.

  • @PussyWart855

    yeahh it really is!!!

  • still kicks the shit out of any sample on snes.i don't to want to sound like a fanboy but the guitars in this game sound uptight and stronger then snes guitar samples.

  • @aryinc i agree

  • Badass song for a killer intro. Hearing this song in TFV is the highlight of that game for me.
