@nsxfan16 Ił-62 were a very good planes. A lot of them are still flying in Azja. Some are in Russian Airforce. When President Miedviediev wwas vistitng Poland last year one of his fleet Ił-62 was landing i KRK (Kraków Airport in Balice) and it was quite a wiev :)
The IL-62 is actually a pretty good design for its age, beautiful to look at, good range and a better safety record then similar western types. Id be happy to fly on one but probably the only chance I have is to fly with Koryo Airlines to North Korea!
@dustziggy Russian Air Force still use some of the Ił-62. And I would also like to fly in one of them. My grandmother emigrated to US i early '80 in one of thos operated by our Polisch Airlines LOT. Amazingly one od 14 our Ił-62 is still operating for a small airline in azyatic part of Russia. Two of our Ił-62 crashed in 1980 and 1987 - RIR for the people..
horrible aircraft!!! ugly, unreliable, just pathetic piece of crap and waste of technology..this plane has the worst safety rating of any airliner ever built..killed more people than any aircraft
@VEE1r0tate This is an Il-62 of Interflug. It actually had the lowest number of accidents amongst similar planes of its era (B707, VC10, DC8, DC9 etc) and not one fatality in 20 years service (1989-2009) when it was operated by 30 countries. Are you confusing it with something else?
In the original report you can see that die 2. bird is hit by the flap. The converting to mp4 and the pause makes it a bit inaxact. But I thing these birds are not the smalles one ;-)
1. Bird: Oh look my big brother! 2. bird: Whoa he is really big! Bird 1+2: Oh no what is he doing AAAAARRGHHH
