  • bring back capital punishment

  • Look at 'will it light - Dr Young salt experiment' on youtube.

  • Which retrd says there are 70g per 100g of greens powders?? And how is salt refined - apart from it just being crushed up?

  • Drinking salt (electrons) and clay (electrons) do seem to give a huge amount of energy for exercise, but of course we still need calories too. I think dr young doesnt come across well, but he advocates eating lots of calories, but he does reccomend avoiding fruit sugar. Say what you like about the man, but he does deserve some rsepect due to the amount of people he has helped clear yeast/fungus issues.

  • It's true fructose is most fattening sugar. I have never seen a healthy fruitarian in my life after 40 years of eatin just fruit. Teeth are falling out, skinny as heck, muscle are shrinking, always having a sugar high thinking it's good for you.

Look at the Eskimos. ALL THEY EAT IS MEAT!!!! THEY GET ALL THEIR VITAMINS FROM THE LIVER AND FATS FROM THE ANIMALS.

  • .4 g protein X 18 = 7.2 g. .4 g X 12 = 4.8 g.

  • @Observerx10 what is this?

  • Young has been a scam for years. You shouldn't need this guy to tell you it. Yes, electrons play a huge part in ATP production, but if you know chemistry electrons are a huge part of all chemistry. And last time I checked, you needed sugars to make pyruvate, which you need to make ATP

  • I have to say, the way you kept "owning" him was great.

  • You all know that Robert Young grows and sells avocados?!

  • @sweetclaire06 That makes sense!

  • @sweetclaire06 You must be Dr youngs biggest stalker sweetclaire.

btw - I dont really like dr young, but his theories do hold water and I trained with him as a blood microscopist. If someone has a yeast overgrowth then fruit is not a good idea. I personally feel fruit isnt essential, and there is lots of energy in fat (see Stu Mittelman - the guy who ran marathons on the alkaline diet) but i have fruit atm and am curious about 8010/10. the issue for me is hybridization of fruit.

  • @AboutEnergy Biggest stalker?Whatever.Never heard of the guy until 7months ago.He told a friend of mine NOT to take medical treatment. He told him his Miracle pH Diet would cure his cancer. He believed him.And now he dying.

I have a question for you.Do you claim to be able to actually see the actual YEAST on a slide of live blood?

  • You could make a remix of his interview, "The calories are coming from-from-from-from fats"

  • 18 avacados a day. You know how much money dat is in a week?

  • You're assuming the carbs in advocados = sugars. Carbs are lumped in nutrition labels, but they may be sugars, fiber (insol and sol), complex/starch/glucose. Carbs is macronutrient, but it has subsets.

  • @therandomdot ---"avocado boasts some of the most unusual carb components in any food. When it is still on the tree, avocado contains about 60% of its carbs in the form of 7-carbon sugars." --- [source:whfoods.com]

  • I guess my bottomline is, you're sitting here ripping on this doctor for suggesting we "run on electricity". Um...yes, we do. Look up the Krebs Cycle, Electron Transport Chain. High carbs can get converted into triglycerides (fats). You ripping on this guy is really showing your ignorance of biochemistry. Not saying whatever's working for you isn't working for you. But, this doctor isn't spewing bunk. Research mauro pasquale high fat diet. the body converts from sugar-burning to fat burn

  • Ultimately, the Krebs Cycle comes down to an electron chain that breaks off a Phosphorus form ATP to make it ADP, and it runs that phosphorus atom through a gauntlet. I guess that's what this doc is referring to. Molecularly, yes, bodies use macronutrients (carb, protein, fat). But, they break down in the Krebs cycle and turn into energy in the electron chain. Fat is a high-octane fuel, and is good for some folks. Sugar can ramp up insulin and get folks into storage into burning.

  • Depends on teh person. Some do well on fruit diets. Others on meat/ketogenic. Different folks evolved in different parts of the world. Tropical climes produced people that did well on fruits. Winter climes produced folks that did well on ketosis. I've tried high-fruit diets. I get itchy butt and feel bloated while having no energy and gaining weight. I've tried high-fat...I feel good, but gain weight. I've tried lean protein..I do well and lose weight. Every person is different.

  • @therandomdot

Doubt it. My ancesters all come from the netherlands as well as northern natives in Canada. All the people in my family do well on a fruit based vegan diet when they try it. ALL of the people in family who eat animal products/and or high fat suffer either from obesity or other major health issues (heart issues, major digestion difficulties, etc). it takes a hell of a lot longer than a few hundred years for the human body to evolve to the level you are sugggesting.

  • @TheLittleNibbler uh, yeah...humans have been evolving for thousands of years. We just added agrarian farming 5000 years ago. Before then, we had hunter-gatherers that were delving into animal herding. Before that, neanderthals were slaughtering the mega-animals roaming around. Every person's metabolism is different, but research suggest the liver can only process ~2 pieces of fruit's worth of fructose a day. The rest converts to triglycerides...which are stored or burned.

  • If i'm feeling spacey and just...distanced from the world on 811, am I just not eating enough? Or doing it wrong? I only rode like 6 miles to work, had a pineapple and 2 bananas in a smoothie...not enough still? It feels like a lot, but maybe it's not? Felt great, sharp, and on for about 2 hrs. Then got spacey.

  • @wittytoddy That happens to me everyday, even when I don't eat 100% healthy. I noticed that it goes away when I get more carbs. So I started buying orange juice, the best one I could find, and I drink that throughout the day/when I start feeling spacey and it helps so fast. I've tried it with rice too but that made me feel even more spacey. So, the best thing for that for me is to drink some fruit juice, some juicy fruit would probably help too = oranges, mandarins, clementines etc.

  • @wittytoddy Mate, you need to munch down lots more cals then that. No wonder your feeling spacy -1 pineapple and 2 bananas only amount to around 650-700 cals.Did you see the PC program Harley was using in the vid : CRON-o-Meter, its free to download and will help you track all aspects of your food intake from CALORIES to fats to vitamins and minerals. I use to feel spacy all the time to I uped my Cal intake.I now eat about 1000 cals a meal 3-5 times a day and feel lots better.

  • The body is electric, and does run on electrons. This is known fact in Advanced Biochemistry. Look up ATP, Krebs Cycle etc.

  • I always say everything in moderation! I have been eating a diet half in sugar and half from fats with calories ranging from 1500 - 2000 a day. Fat source PER WEEK is: 5 avocados, 5 young coconuts (meat+water), 5 cups of soaked almonds. Sugar per week: 6 green drinks, 30 servings of fruit a week, 5 vegetable salads. Every Sunday I only eat fruit (usually grapes) with a green juice for cleansing, and every Monday I water fast for more cleansing. I feel better now than when I only ate fruit!

  • I think youve been eating too many veg, your body needs way more than a theory of a doctors theory. This is not been scientifically proven.

  • It's very sad that you have come across this information and cannot appreciate it. It is a true gift to humanity because it gives us the power to reclaim our own health. I suggest if you want to be very thorough with your investigation of Dr. Robert young, give it a fair shake and try one of his programs for 10 days or however long you can. I promise you nothing bad will happen by eating a lot of raw vegetables. This diet IS shocking at first, but it is what our bodies were designed to eat.

  • Keep it up Harley!

  • vai Brasil !!!!!

  • Obviously the fellow in the video knows nothing about different kinds of fat and that polyunsaturated fats are essential to good cellular health. There's a lot more wrong with his assumptions but I'm not going to take the time to address all of them. This was a stupid video made by an uninformed individual.

  • If you eat a lot of fat, you mess up the 8-1-1 diet. If you eat a lot of carbs, you mess up the "Alkalarian Diet". But if you stick within the guidelines of both diets, you experience excellent health and wellness. I have an easier time putting on bulk muscle on Dr. Young's diet. Lots of calorie dense foods, so it's easier to consume calories. At least for me. Very hard to eat 5k calories of fruit for me, since it's so much damn bulk & water.

  • Dr. Young doesn't recommend ONLY eating Avocados, Harley. It's just a suggestion as a high calorie food. His plan includes things like Tofu, Beans, virtually every kind of vegetable, nuts, seeds, and 20% or less of your plate having soaked/sprouted (or cooked) grains . I've been on his diet. I've also been on the 8-1-1 diet. I've experienced TREMENDOUS health on both diets. I prefer the 8-1-1 diet, because fruit is delicious . That's a big part, enjoying your food. Both good diets though.

  • HAHA! Thats a capital C for Contradiction! :D :D love u man

  • I wonder though, but, his point about running on electrons could possibly be founded in some fact. I have this cool habbit of not saving amazing research i come across, so, don't remember where the original article it. along with what Gerson found, biophotons seem to play a huge role in diet, and, as it turns out, they are really only found in raw fruits/vegetables and are more apparent in organic varieties(i'd imagine even more so in wild varieties).

  • use lots of ELECTROLITE SALT

see dr blaylock excitotoxins msg are AntiFreeze, ADDICTION Fat People

  • Harley, this is a serious suggestion from a fellow 811er...you should drop the swear words on future videos...lots of puritarian folks will never take you serious with that in your content. I really like what you're doing for veganism, animals and the planet, but lots of folks will write you and your message off as soon as they hear one cuss word. If you want to include cuss words then create another channel on an 18 and over site and clean the rest up. We need the message to go out to everyone!

  • What does Dr. Young look like today? Epitome of Health???

  • @EatRawstayHot 80% of calories come from vegetables? Do you know how many vegetables one would have to eat to get enough calories in a day on your diet? I would starve myself on it. I don't know about you, but I am a hockey player and I am into lifting weights -- I need calories from fruit. Sugars are only acidic if they come from refined crap food. Fruit sugar is actually alkalizing. Read Robert Morse's book.

  • Yeah Harly you owned that sucker, bravo

  • @wwood14 i would form a proper paragraph but why bother? i can just sit on my ass and get money from our governments welfare program right?... thats what some kids think.

  • @wwood14 im a junior in high school at one of the "best" public schools in the great mighty USA and i can tell you that 75% of students are wastes of space and distract from the other 25% i honestly think the human races average IQ is dropping like a dead bird

  • @EatRawstayHot Nowhere in our evolution?

    ...

Bonobos sure eat a lot of sugar.

    Do you believe in evolution?

  • @jjay75

You may believe in evolution, but you clearly don't know very much about it. Humans didn't evolve from bonobos, humans and bonobos evolved from a common ancestor. So basically, what you're insinuating is not supported by your innacurate argument.

  • @ninalarayne A common ancestor, that was frugivorous.

I struggle to think of an animal that completely changed its diet so dramatically.

From high carbohydrate fruits and vegetables to meat and fats? lol

You think zebras eat a dramatically different diet to horses? Can you provide one example where this has happened in evolution so quickly?

  • It's very apparent that this guy is very in knowledgable of biochemistry. It seems that he's trying to alleviate his cognitive dissonance of eating a balancing the bloods Ph levels through diet. I'm not standing up for young, but I've read his book objectively rather than subjectively. The main idea is balance.

  • You're too funny. I love the way you act as the diaper - removing all the sh.t from this health industry.

  • wow just 1 minut ago i was waching skate bording wtf

  • Comment removed

  • Witchdoctors can have opinions too

  • 18 avocados a day? That's just overeating

  • @SDupe44 don't try and turn this into a political debate, what he is suggesting is sensational horseshit designed top get him attention. 5g of protein per day for athletes? 18 avocados per day? lol! i don't care who survives his protocols, i see plenty of people surviving mcdonalds breakfasts 5 days a week. they're all idiots, like you and "dr." die young.

  • I think dr.young, when he is saying "same benefit" he means alkalaising benefit and NOT the same energy or carbs. Too much sugar is toxic, there is no way around it. Less is better. Your liver will make glucose when needed.

  • @ridgex glucose = glycogen, sry.

  • @ridgexyou are 100% wrong.

  • @ridgex white sugar isn't equal to fruit sugar.

  • Dr. Young needs spell-check! What's a "scopp"!? Check 10:04 - that does NOT say "scoop".

  • Also.. I am laughing at this while eating dates. *cheers

  • Stevia is not a sugar... lol

  • Where can i listen to this whole interview by Kevin Gianni? I can't seem to find the whole interview. Thanks.

  • @Zanins No one who is rational

  • 18 avocados cost about $25!!!

  • People trust anyone with a DR before their name. i have seen time and time again that people with that degree can more illogical than a high school drop out.

They have the health of humans in their hands and they just fuck shit up. Nowhere in nature have we seen a diet such as this, wtf would i go about doing that? diet for immortality?? wtf? Is that a marketing strategy?

God help them... NO. God help us all!

  • @Zanins tell that to the other primates dude.

  • @Zanins

    wrong

    i do

    durainrider does

    many do

    fish will make you ill

    tuna is full of mercury

and like all large fish is being made extinct

    you are an imbecile

  • @danielskipp1 Please explain the role of selenium in relation to mercury in fish...I think you slept through chemistry class....

  • Thanks for Pointing out the Absolute Bullshit... :0)

  • Thanks. thehealthfair not org and not net talks about eating 32 ounces of foods that are mostly high sugar and processed.

  • Actually, for the 18 California avocados, eating it will actually be the same as eating 45 grams of carbohydrates because 166.5 g out of the total 211.5 g of carbohydrates are actually dietary fibre. So in essence, it's still "low-carb".

But the "their protein intake is less than five grams a day" was funny.

  • How can someone get a doctorate, yet can't do basic math?

  • The body does run on electrons... But that's besides the point really.

Great job debunking this guy. I'm thankful that there are those like you pointing out the lies so that the others may see the fraud.

    Well done!

  • Facts people not bull shit to numb the masses savory tops the list with 2132mg of calcium per 100g serving (213%RDA), that is 85mg (9% RDA) per tablespoon. It is followed by celery seed with 124mg (12%RDA) of calcium per tablespoon, dried thyme with 57mg (6% RDA) per tblsp, dried dill with 53mg (5% RDA) per tblsp, dried marjoram with 40mg (4%RDA) per tblsp, dried

  • Ok why do people want to get calcium that has been filtered through another Living beings body. Dont you think the cow was making milk for its child. Are you a cow seriously eat some greens by the way Herbs are highest sorce of calcium on the planet not any product from the inslavment of our fellow creatures

  • well.. i hate to agree with a bigheaded BS artist like Young but technically and actually it is true.. all sugars are toxic.

BUT! ALL FOOD IS POISON. All digestion uses precious stored energy and biochemistry to produce nutrition, energy and poisonous waste that should get drained away by the lymphatic system.

Fruit is easily the least taxing on the body and it provides lots of energy unlike most greens. Eating fats is a recipe for acidosis and a drag down.

now bring on the oranges already!!

  • Healthy fats like avocados are good for you just like healthy sugars like berries and fruits are good for you. The best diet isn't 14 avocados a day or 30 bananas a day. The best diet is a balanced diet, not an extreme either way.

  • Duude, I can't live on avocados. Avocados make me fat and sluggish.

Maybe there are some unique individuals that can live on a high-fat diet,

such as Eskimos. By the way, bananas can also make you fat. Bananas and oranges are loaded with lots of calories. The best and healthy diet consists of occasional beans (legumes), some fish (or other seafood), some whole grains, some citrus or other fruits, and some sources of calcium such as yoghurt.

  • @VirtWonder

what do you base that nonsense on? Okinawa or somewhere? I note you did not mention greens.

you recommend yoghurt so we can get calcium! LOL!

i assume you don't realise oranges are loaded with calcium. Ca is freely available in a high greens high fruit diet, far more bioavailable than in diary and actually detoxing the body rather than acidifying and clogging it up.

    Beans? enjoy farting?!

Fish?! Aside from the ethical issues it is full of poison and protein is not for humans.

  • @danielskipp1 protein not for humans? then how would you build any muscle? lol

  • @Zanins

i meant eating it ... we are talking about diet. of course we need protein... we recycle most of it and trh erest is best get from clean amino acids such as found in fruit... not protein which needs much digestion and is acidifying

    give me some credit

most muscle is glycogen [sugar] and water... get an education

  • @danielskipp1 Once again someone slept in class. The body doesn't control acid via urine excretion. It controls it via breathing. The range of acidity in the human body is 7.35-7.45, no more. Come on....fruit and veg is great and if YOU wan to eat it? Great. Let's not pretend that it's the only healthy food. Actually...lets, I can look like Art DeVany and you can look like D. Graham. LOL

  • @MichaelnChristine

yawn.. i know what the textbooks and drs say, and they are often wrong. so sad that you are so arrogant

if you think that fluids and tissues outside the blood are strictly held to the blood pH range then you are an idiotic repeater of other's dogmatic error.

Clinicians in the real world who actually help people heal from all those diseases your treasured allopaths fail to, choosing to lucratively torture and kill them instead, know that acidosis in the lymph is rife.

  • @danielskipp1 See: Strawman Fallacy. I never said anything about Holistic Vs Allopathic medicine. You just made that up. Secondly, you can't say science is bad, wrong and arrogant and then TRY to use science to support your case. It's only via science and medicine you'd know the PH of anything, or even what the Lymph (system) is. The fact is that Veganism works for some, but not for others and going around attacking people doesn't change this. I was a vegan, I did it right, it sucked.

  • @MichaelnChristine

"The range of acidity in the human body is 7.35-7.45, no more."

    Tested that with litmus?.

furthermore breathing [ though perhaps not intense training in qi gong] does not loosen up the most hardened toxic acidic fatty mucus/lymph in the tissues. The acid remains stuck like glue. proteins and starchs make for very strong glues! What is needed are astringents, but then i expect you know nothing about herbs as you seem to think eating greens and fruits is optional for health.

  • @danielskipp1 Sorry, again, straw man. I didn't say fruit and veg was optional. I didn't say we should eat starches. I didn't even say we should eat meat. You are having an argument but it doesn't appear to be with me. I never said anything about qi gong and you are asserting, without evidence (nothing in PubMed) that "hardened toxic acidic fatty mucus" does something to someone somewhere. Also, if I remember correctly mucus doesn't contain fatty acids. It's mostly proteins....

  • This video is funny at the very end. He sounds so way out there when he says that this is the diet for immortality.

  • I love this video, very fascinating.

  • That's why humans can eat very low calorie diets and have tons of energy... oh wait...

  • totally crab what he is talking about fruit if you just eat it on its own it does not harm your body at all. fat makes you arteries sick and can give you candida. I do not believe in carbs likr rice, noodels, yeast, wheat, gluten, that kills and ages your body.

  • Great! I figured it out! That's why I feel so energized and great after I put my fingers in the wall socket. Thank you, doctor, for explaining it to me. From now on, all I'll be munching will be 9V batteries, I want to be energized as hell.

  • @DragosNowitzki Actually, electroshock therapy doesn't seem like such a bad thing now.

  • I'm actually shocked at the kinda stuff that comes out of Dr. Young's mouth... so glad I did not subscribe to his way of thinking... people say a lot of good stuff about him but he seems to think the body does not work the way everyone else does... Oil, chlorophyl, and salt as the perfect food no carbs? And since when is Stevia sugar? What is the brain functioning on if sugar is toxic to the body?

  • OMG I have never ever seen races like that before. Is this typical? People falling over and crawling to the finish line? What is this? They are not allowed fuel whatsoever to refuel?

  • @apocalist420 LOL I was talking about Dr. Young! But ok, I'll look at his too... :D

  • @apocalist420 Ok I found the interview with Matthew Strong...do u have the links to the other ones'?

  • @apocalist420 Relly?? I haven't seen them...wat do they show?

  • Hey does this guy practice wat he preache's? I would love to know the results of his blood tests...like u sed, result's, not just theory's!

  • He said BENEFITS, not equal to the nutrition. Benefits such as phytonutrients, antioxidants, vitamins etc.

    Stevia isn't a sugar.

  • I eat a little of everything....but stay away from sweets and salt? sugar overworks your pancreas and salt raises your blood pressure? that simple! Eat bread but from sprouted whole wheat? but it is so true that all this great food that makes me feel great also cost $! thanks. also these extremes sports are CRAZZZZY....they are only money making for some corporations.

  • WHAT A JOKE, WHATEVER HAPPENED TO SIMPLY EATING A BALANCED PLANT BASED DIET

  • I have been vegan for 35 years. Yes I could eat 18 avocados a day. I LOVE them. Unfortunately they sell for over $1 each. I also eat other fruits loads of bananas, big salads and basically anything not from animals.

I am very electric lol. I generate static.

  • Hey Harley - I think it's important to point out that you are comparing the *total carbs* of avocados to bananas.

    18 avocados has 235 total carbs; which breaks down to 167.5 g fiber, 50 g protein and 17.5 g sugar. 367.5 g of total fat!!! 565% of the 2k cal/day RDA. Pffftt!!!

10 bananas has 285 total carbs; which breaks down to 32.5 g fiber, 13.75 g protein and 152.5 g sugar.

I would never eat that many avocados in 1 day. I find it hard to believe anyone really does.

    Cheers - Raptor

  • Is your best lecturer a TCM teacher? What is the subject she is teaching you?

  • Presumably the drying of greens eliminates much of the carbs.

A common way to measure organic matter in soil is to weight sample, dry it at high heat, and re-weigh it. Difference in weight was organic matter you just burnt.

    Otherwise great video.

  • this was an EXCELLENT video! Thank you for sharing these facts =)

  • i think Dr youngs diet includes added salt to hold essential water . Being over alkaline ,the body has difficulty maintaining good water balance i seems .

  • What a strange and embarrassing footage of 2 females struggling to cross the line. And, they were AHEAD of some dude that comes whizzing by them effortlessly!?

  • Hi Harley, where can i find the food "calculator" that you are using in this video?

  • LOL @ your accessories in this video, you have a range of those coloured helmets - are they Freelee's? When you do that helmet up, i was on the verge of tears

  • so one of the spectators could have put a battery in their ear and they would have been able to keep running faster - ROFLMFAO

  • Did he just say all sugars are toxic to the body? What does he eat? Almost all healthy food has some form of sugar. How does he function? He probably has no energy. And he thinks he's going to live forever!! Cause it's the diet for immortality. lol!

  • dr young is insane.. fruit is needed crazy fool.

  • so, what are your thoughts on avocados in general? say, one or two a week. Bad?

  • thank you Harley. brilliant. i esp appreciated you debunking a fat white lds dude.

more good news, bananas have twice as much fiber as watermelon per lb.

and i'd like to switch from fitday to whatever nutritional counter program you use.

    what is it?

  • @ZeBeFruity got it, Cronometer

  • Comment removed

  • Dan McDonald full DVD's release

    youtube.com/watch?v=6e7wcd-GD5s&feature=channel_video_title

  • Good job on debunking all the snake oil bullshit out there!!

  • You are the BEST!!!!!

  • I love Durianriders videos, man. Information packed with real talk and good humor.

  • Thank you so much for this video Harley, Dr young video had totally confused me, and didn’t make sense, this relay does clear up the fog, keep the videos coming HJ , realy appreciat them

  • "Proprietary Blend" =BULLSHIT ALWAYS!

  • HA...the thumbnail pic for this vid is horrific looking yet funny. I hope that wasn't you.

  • your a wise man where can i go to learn what u know?thx ahead

  • lol.....loved the loudspeaker! hilarious..

  • durianrider looks alot better than dr young

  • No. 1 Huckster Buster!

  • so many bullshit diets, people just make this shit up to sell books!

  • The body runs on electricity... Fruit is the highest energy food that you can consume! Sugar is a waste product?? Every cell in the body run on glucose. Okay yes fat is important in proper ratios... but 18 avocados a day seems quite a bit overboard. It is clear that this guy is really misinformed and paving a rocky road for his followers..

  • Great job on this vid by the way. Your skills are coming along nicely.

  • It's weird because 1 month ago I fucking hated this guy, but then I went raw and now I understand him much better. I'm still on the fence with a lot of "gurus," but this guy is all right.

  • You are the man Thanks. Please keep Kick ass man. After my 100 day juice fast I am going eat alot of bannanas

  • Dr. Young better step up to the plate and give the list of the athletes he has going on this diet. Oh that will be an interesting LONG list. lol!

  • Happened to me not fun! I had to beg a guy selling watermelon on the side of the road for a slice then I ran 5 more miles lol true!

  • U r at hottie ! Love ur accent!

  • hahaha, this was amusing. esp the megaphone LOL.

  • Dr. Robert Young is an idiot

  • BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZOOOWWWW!!!! I'M RUNNIN' ON ELECTRONS!!! Nice one Harley.

  • I just smiled strangely as I watched. I'm speechless too.

  • Harley you got the best vids on youtube, diggin the hair to.

  • DR, your editing skills are stellar. Your approach is mean though, exposing people with their own words. How can they defend themselves, where can they hide?

This guy strikes me as "religious" or "myth based" rather than science/reality. Diet does it, salvation (immortality!) through nutty food style, foodism. This tendency occurs often though, I think at some level it is childish Abwehr warding off mechanism (fantasy). I have it too but I don't claim to teach, teachers judged more strictly

  • Harley, you are da bomb! Excellent video! Great job breakin it down! (except I still don't like the F-bomb all the time!!) :)

  • btw thank you for this very good documented video. I really liked it. Keep up the good work. Spread the good news to the world. The other posting I made came from my heart for your encouragement.

    Kind regards,

    Steve

  • brilliant video, shows that the DR. before people's names really doesnt mean shit sometimes, this guy is a fucking idiot, this guy shouldnt be telling anyone what to eat, i didnt even want to watch the rest of the video this dr was making me so annoyed, haha,

  • From a raw food brother with love, Steve

Swearing is the most annoying word. It has a degrading and negative influence. Every swear word is a tool to destroy and lower the value of human beings. It is producing a heartless generation where F, M-F and SH words will be common and ruthless. It is a terrible influence to our children. Many were bruised, by these words. Cultivate your words with kindness politeness and uplifting words, it will bring peace for today and create a better tomorrow.

  • All I have to say is look up Stu Mittleman he leads by example!

  • @KravJitsu1 he sells supplements, eats high oli/fat, grains and fish. Also sponsored by Gatorade. Pffft not leading by example at all

  • @gogogogogo69 That is his prerogative if Stu sells products, I don't care either way. Who isn't selling their crap days, and their philosophy to people. All I know is the fucker ran 1000 miles in ten days on keeping is PH levels optimal. Sugar or no sugar it works for him and live it at that.

  • i'm no expert but that didn't look like bonking to me. Fat is the fuel you burn when running under the lactate threshold. You burn glycogen for high intensity work such as heavy weights or sprinting. I'm going to guess that those ladies were suffering from one or all of heat exhaustion (they looked cramped), build up of lactic acid from pushing themselves over the lactate threshold too much or dehydration.

Endurance athletes that eat carbs are still burning fat. Am I right or wrong?

  • @imnotabear Both glycogen and fat is burned in all endurance athletes, in varying ratios. Both are required for optimal performance because as I understand it, glycogen is actually required to burn fat efficiently.

  • @asnoethias bingo. When we bonk, we have exhausted muscle glycogen and performance must decline. Thats why Stu Mittleman doesnt race no more. He set his records on rice, fruit, sugar coffee and gatorade.

  • @imnotabear You got it part right. Go out tomorrow at 6am and ride/walk/hike on just water till sundown and then try and sprint the last 5km home and you'll learn what bonking is. ;) You will probably learn it in the first 3 hours.

Heat exhaustion happens quickest when we run out of muscle glycogen and hit ketosis.

  • @durianriders cheers for the info and asnoethias. I did some reading and it is more complex than it seems. The lactate threshold seems to be more of a gradation as such. "The Science behind Bonking" on runner's world was interesting but inconclusive.

As for me, I'm not an endurance athlete I'm just working on building a little more lean muscle and burning off the last of the tummy roll. Instead of sitting here worrying about the mechanics of bonking I should be in the gym or out on the bike :)

  • thanks for this video, DR. i was excited to watch it because i did the ph miracle for diabetes (i have type 1) for 3 weeks and got down to 1 unit of insulin per day. but i felt AWFUL. i was constantly craving some kind of sugar! i had no energy!!! the day i quit i went to the store thinking, "I NEED CARBOHYDRATES!" i bought some raisins and found my way to 80-10-10/low-fat, high-carb raw vegan. THANKFULLY!
