my co driver stands 6'1" and stood in the mouth of the machine before they installed the real and had 4 inches of headroom. I believe the width was 12' the machine in this video is not the world largest. The one built by Kodiak North West is.

It was not made in Norway it was Made in Paul Idaho by Kodiak North West who is now located in Burly Idaho and i am the trucker who hauled both of them to Dundalk terminal in Maryland to ship them to Norway on a boat. These machines were built so big that they had to cut 3" off the top doorway of the shop to get them out when we loaded them. If I am correct in my memory they weigh around 68000 pounds each. there were 2 total made and they move 4500 tons per hour of snow each.

In Ottawa, Canada they used to use the dedicated rigs like the last one. In the last 10 years or so, they have changed to the type you had at the beginning. The kind that mount to the end of a front end loader. Makes sense since it can be removed and another type of attachement put on. They move snow just as well as the dedicated units at a much lower cost.

Theres one in my town. Probobly bigger then anyone u can find on youtube. Its all custom owned by this major electrical contractor company. Last tine i saw it was 2 years ago when we had 3 feet of snow. To much for the plows to handle. But theres about an 18' snowblower on the front of a custom firetruck. To big for it to be run off of the same engine as anyone that drives a truc so the whole back of the truck is gutted and replaced with a 700 hp custom diesel engine. It cleared my neighborh

Interestingly enough, I think this is the first snowblower i have seen, that looks like it was meant to be used as a snow blower, from day one. Most other blowers / plows are addons tools to existing platforms, like trucks, tractors, buldozers and motorgraders.

This on the other hand, looks purpose build for the task.
