@kuncrut well, it's kind of hard to give tips cause mash ups kind of create theirselves when the tracks go well together. All I do is mix an instrumental and an acapella in my head, and if they seem to fit (the structure and the melody), I try the mix in Audacity, changing the pitch of the instrumental or the tempo of one of the tracks (or both if one is too slow and the other too fast) when they don't match. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Guess it's all about trying ;)

@SammYScenester Tat's because there are instrumentals of almost all Paramore songs, while there are only four or five good quality acapellas. But I've actually made two Paramore/MCR mash ups where I used MCR's instrumentals and Hayley's vocals (you have the links in the description of this video), so I'm not the one you should complain with about the lack of Hayley in mash ups. The guitars sound a little bit different than the original. Did you use a guitar cover or something?

@Fissa4 No, actually I found it as an instrumental. But yes, guitars are kind of different. I think it may be a filtered (very well filtered) acapella where the vocals were removed and guitars were brought to the front, so the sound changes a little bit.

@Fissa4 thanks! you know, actually if it's a filtered acapella it makes sense that at the beginning and ending it sounds different, since there are no vocals to remove so there's no need to filter those parts. The rest could be filtered and that's why some instruments are brought to the front and others sent to the back, depending in which band they were recorded (center or not). I could be wrong though, but it sounds too similar to be a cover, you know?

@melynx901z it's a matter of taste. I don't like changing the pitch of the tracks I work with, specially the vocals, I hate how it sounds when the voice is high pitched. I try to choose songs that fit each other well and make the mash ups as "pure" as possible, just changing the rythm when one of the tracks goes faster than the other one.
