I remember listening to them on the cassette when I was 6 they have always been my favorite band since. I'm now 16. My first cd was the hits one. I lost it for about a year and found it when I was moving to Japan to start a church ( 8 ) with my family. Currently I still like listening to them but now have fallen to a more secular music choice...I know I know I'm trying. No preaching needed hahaha.
i saw disciple, kutless and newsboys in a concert and it was great
disciple was doing backflips off the stage while still playing the guitar and then kutless came out and same the feeling and put on a great show and then the newsboys came out and were awesome

I can't agree enough! Also, if you say you'll pray for someone....do it! It can be hard to remember so carry a small notepad sometimes, or keep one in the car and write it down when you can. I have been guilty of saying "yes" when someone asks me to pray for them, and then forgetting to do it. This does happen more often when I'm not as close to the Lord due to my lack of discipline in spending time with Him daily. Another person may really be counting on your prayers.
Exactly! What other people call "luck" I call blessings. And as far as hope....if our hope is in the Lord, He will guide us in every area of life including where He wants us work and who He wants us to marry (although I'm not sure about the "soul mate" concept-that there's one specific person out there, and only one-although once you get married, then that IS the ONE). What I really am bothered by is the "I'll pray for you" comment when there is no intention to follow up

I agree with you Arrasel on the Newsboys of before (when Peter sang these songs) to be the best around. But, Michael has taken over lead singer and has has taken charge of the music and my thoughts---he's doing a excellent job to continue the bands future down the path for the Lord.

Too often, spirituality and religion get confused with one another. They are related, yes, but they are not the same thing. Religion is a way of DOing. Spirituality is a way of BEing. Read Donald Miller's book "Blue Like Jazz".

@careysgirl1169 Actually, if you read Hebrews, you will find that Jesus came to establish the New Testament...which is a relationship AND a religion. He has rules for us to follow. Yes, we are saved by grace, but we are judged by our works. He doesn't expect us to be perfect; He expects us to try. He expects us to learn godly maturity and live in it, otherwise, the other books of the New Testament are worthless, and there is no true justice.
@TheFaithfulsongbird Jesus died to pay the price for all sin, therefore there can be no further judgement for those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Saviour. We are called to love, just as God loved us, to show love for God and for all mankind. Our works (good) show our faith in God, our belief and trust in Him (James). We should grow in Godly maturity, the fruit of the Spirit is love...(Galatians). True justice has been achieved through Jesus. We need to accept it and walk in it.

I love every form of music, unfortunately some I should be with out but, regardless of that, I have a great affection for the NewsBoys music. They were the first Christain band I feel in love with. I often seperated myself from Christain music because I thought it was boring. I was wrong, very wrong. They opened a door to my heart that I never knew existed. I can understand I lost my Great grandpa and he was an awesome man. He LOVED working with kids and was really good with them. Every VBS when he was younger and in better health he would help with all the kids. Sorry for your loss but God does provide all we need.

I'm sorry this is not the ultimate praise and worship song. This song is very hard to lead a congregation in and to sing. Bigger churches with very talented singers can pull it off, but it is very hard for a worship leader in a smaller church to do this song. For many people it is hard to sing, something that isn't much of a problem in a church of 3000 but is in a church of 50. This song is very well suited for performance in a large venue.
@wampuswombat - agreed, but when you think about it - no matter how bad it may sound to human ears, ALL praise is beautiful to God's ears. if it's from the heart, doesn't matter how bad it sounds. i make my dog cry when i sing (just a saying, she doesn't really cry), but i sing as loudly as i can when i am singing to my Savoir.
@wampuswombat being a worship leader myself for a congregation of about 60 people on a sunday, I have found that while it may look difficult to us, when soaked in prayer and worship with God, he can take anything that we have and make it the most beautiful and pleasing song to him and your congregation.
yeah, i know what you mean. we dont bother trying to get the congregation to sing this. with a church of 90 people, we stick to playing it by ourselves. great song though. they all love it

@nagyarni No, my friend, HE is very REAL! If you ask God to reveal Himself to you He will. But, if you continue to deny Him, and keep running in the opposite direction You will not know Him. God loves you, so he respects you and will not force himself on you. That's why God gave us a FREE WILL. If somebody held a gun to your head and demanded you to tell them that you loved them and forced you to prove your love, that would NOT BE TRUE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE AND WORSHIP. Ask "do you love me?"

Alcohol? Tobacco? Gangs? Fighting? If God is an illusion, then how did I overdose on 16 prescription pain meds to end my life and felt NO SIDE EFFECTS AT ALL!! You may say your catholic or lutheran or anglican but does it really matter what your religion is? Because it is simpler than that, you are either christian or you are not. I may be catholic but i go to a presbyterian church and i don't mind because it teaches what the bible teaches and that is the truth.

I can understand I lost my Great grandpa and he was an awesome man. He LOVED working with kids and was really good with them. Every VBS when he was younger and in better health he would help with all the kids. Sorry for your loss but God does provide all we need.

I'm sorry this is not the ultimate praise and worship song. This song is very hard to lead a congregation in and to sing. Bigger churches with very talented singers can pull it off, but it is very hard for a worship leader in a smaller church to do this song. For many people it is hard to sing, something that isn't much of a problem in a church of 3000 but is in a church of 50. This song is very well suited for performance in a large venue.

@wampuswombat - agreed, but when you think about it - no matter how bad it may sound to human ears, ALL praise is beautiful to God's ears. if it's from the heart, doesn't matter how bad it sounds. i make my dog cry when i sing (just a saying, she doesn't really cry), but i sing as loudly as i can when i am singing to my Savoir.

@wampuswombat being a worship leader myself for a congregation of about 60 people on a sunday, I have found that while it may look difficult to us, when soaked in prayer and worship with God, he can take anything that we have and make it the most beautiful and pleasing song to him and your congregation.

my 14 year old grandaughter and er best friend were killed in a car crash, may 29th 2007...72 mph. i was angry with god...after some time, i found that god didn't do this to my beautiful grandaughter, but he did save her from the pain and torment had she lived....i miss my little lauren. i still cry everyday for her loss....i know where she is, and i am making sure i have a clean path to see her agian.....rip lauren dietz and miranda phelps....

my son went to heaven may 24th 09 the day before his 34th b-day, it is my belief that keeps me sane, cause i know where he is and he is in gods hands, he was a youth leader, worked at a camp called cc stands for christ centered. actually his death has made me stronger. i still miss him like crazy, but i will be able to be with him 4 eternity that is what keeps me going his name was mike cooper he has a sermon on youtube called eat what god gives u
