I don't think you people realize the difference between "best female vocalist" and "entertainer of the year" taylor won entertainer because she had a worldwide tour that was sold out with millions watching her everynight. her speak now tour, plus all of her commercial and cross over success. carrie is obviously the better choice for "best female vocalist" because of her incredible voice but taylor deserved winning entertainer.

the sound is going in and out - it's vibrating for some reason - terrible terrible sound issues on this performance halfway through it gets better sound like they finally a a bit of a handle but it stills goes wavering

Sure I would have loved to see Carrie get female vocalist but we all knew that wouldn't happen, she didn't tour this year and basically just duets and work on her album. Besides, Blake and Miranda are cute, funny and the new "it" country couple. But the former winners like Reba, Martina, Carrie it's hard to win again after having a run of winning it 3 years in a row. But Taylor for sure definitely deserved ET. She toured the entire world and had a broadway type of show.

Can I be the one to point out that Brad completely owns this song on guitar? I mean obviously he's one of the greatest guitar players of our generation, but wow, just look at him completely molesting his guitar at 2:18. Love him and Carrie so much!

Speaking as someone who enjoys good music in general and pop country specifically, I think Taylor's win was right on the money. As these awards are FAN voted, obviously i am not the only one( by a long shot) who feels this way. I find it amusing that so many people feel the need to be a joiner on the " I hate Taylor" band wagon, apparently just because so many of us love her that the "joiners" feel some perverse need to be different. Strange irony. Personally, I reserve my disdain for Kanye.

@clintagain The CMA's are fan voted and outside of Taylors fan circle she is looked upon as someone who has mediocre talent,campaigns heavily for awards- awards and fame mean everything to her -the real winner of the Entertainer award should have been Kenny Chesney who won Pollstars touring artist of the year while Taylors tour won a promotion award - Kenny wasn't even nominated for a CMA entertainer award - the voters always keep the best out of the noms because they know they will win.

the voices here are wavering going in and out for some reason - Brad 's voice is too - it's really odd - actually the band is going in and out too - at the end it gets better - - I don't think Taylors peers voted for her for entertainer - they barely clapped when she performed - I think her award was bought by her label - they bought for the Band Perry too which is on the same label but they deserved it - great songs, great songwriting great singing as for Taylor - what does she do again?

I think this exactly same way, carries name started to become too much on top, they had to stop giving her everything, because deep inside everyone knows that she can sing so much better then all girls together . Probably next year when the 4th album release, we'll have carrie on top again, no matter what, and maybe an entertainment of the year, who knows?? @javixupeke the first part is a E# whistle, then I think a belted f#5 at 2:00, Eb5 at 2:35, and i Bb6 at 3:04... I could be wrong though

They had Carrie's mic down because her singing those high notes naturally would have overpowered Brad and it's his song. They did a good job..but some of Carrie's tones sounded not as perfect as in the monologue. Brad missed a couple of notes but one was because Carrie sometimes is on the line from flat to sharp and them moves up to make it spot on. Brad got stuck at the lower part.

CMA does this every year to Carrie. She should get the female vocalist every year easily without question. And Enternainer, sho And heuld be gimme also for Carrie. And here again, the audio isn't the best because it can't handle Carrie's power vocals.

WOW! I've never heard Carrie stretch her vocals like this! This song is extremely difficult to sing but with Carrie's powerful vocals and mutant lungs, she did it yet again! This vocal just proves that Carrie may be the best vocal performer and entertainer in any genre! It's a real shame that she's been continously snubbed for all the great things she's done for country music. I pray that her 4th album will kick-butt and that God would work in mysterious ways to give her due. <3 Philippines
