I was starting to wonder where the Cherry Blossom (Sakura, yay,i know Japanese ^~^) were. I love seeing them, which there was more in Las Vegas, where i live.
First off, that child is freakin' awesome! Now that I got that out of the way, I am really not a party person but Hanami seems like a great party to go to. It seems relaxed. Great footage.
Hello tokyo cooney!!! i've only recently been watching your vids, probably due to the fact i'm going on exchange there soon. I'll probably be heading to tokyo or osaka, but i hope its tokyo. Anyway, any tips on what i should be ready for on arrival? and where should i go during my days off.
PS: great vlogs, probably one of the best on youtube.
4:13 wtf is up with that guitar? did that guy go "I dont give a shit what it sounds like or if it's for country music I want the biggest god damn guitar you sell!" Also where is the bass guitar? And how come every lyracist sounds like japanese Karaoke Buddy Holly?
I would prefer to go on a regular day, the place is full. But this is the reality of hanami, I suppose for japanese people this is normal, the real atmosphere of hanami, party all day long (and night).
Since I'm in between jobs right now, I can't afford a trip halfway around the world back home to partake in hanami festivities. So, I'm driving 4-hrs down to DC for their Annual Cherry Blossoms Festival this weekend!! The "peak" bloom period for this year is from 4/2 thru 4/5. That's when the blossoms on the Japanese Cherry trees along the Potomac River are open 70% or more.
It's rumored to be the single largest Japanese festival in the US.
Cooney where do u basically live? like what part of tokyo cause in ur videos u go to diffirent places and like do u live close by or do u just travel far away!?
Well, since Ive been here 8 years what am I? Im not the "fresh faced foreginer" you mentioned in the other videos comment. But in my time here Ive realized what I already knew instinctually, every country has ups and downs. For you it apparently has only downs, which suggests to me that you are an unhappy, depressive person. Japan is no worse, probably better in some ways than other world capitals. Ive lived in NY, LA & London and feel it compares favorably. But Im not a miserable person.

Ahhhh.. yes, but being just lowly employees they are strictly forbidden from drinking before the boss arrives. If it were me Id bring a flask and some breath mints though.
Just had the tunes kicking around my music collection. I have a pretty bizarre music collection though. Mostly blues, but some other wierd stuff in there too.

I love these videos. You were my inspiration for starting YouTube and each time I watch these videos it's like a rush of nostalgia. OK, enough with the touchy-feely BS. Can't wait for the next vid!
