We sung this tune in my High School Vocal Jazz Ensemble (The Lab Singers of Booker T. Washington HSPVA in Dallas) this is quality extremely good vocal Jazz..
@marinemom77 I hope Caprice realizes she has a lot of fans out there. New York Voices are still great - one of the best - but I miss hearing her. I remember discovering them when I found a cassette of theirs (I came as a Man. Trans. fan) and was thrilled to find another wonderful jazz vocal group. The album had Open Invitation and National Amnesia (both still on my IPOD) but the song that made me fall in love was Silence of Time (which was on What's Inside I think?). Wishing her hapiness and joy
@SRK212 Thanks for your reply, Sara!!...just checked out your website (very nice). Do you still perform live at all??...would love to hear you sing again!!
Finally!!! Somebody posting excellent, quality, vocal jazz music. I have waited for months for someone to upload this and other particular NYV tunes. This one is my second favorite of all (Open Invitation is first).
sigh.. love this one! I was lucky enough to sing the lead on this one in college. I'm actually going to a vocal jazz camp to work with them this summer, and I can't wait :)) Again, thanks so much for uploading some of their music! ~Ej

I performed this song in my first year of VJE. It was so fun! It helped us win the Worcester College competition, and we were only in high school!

I thought for years that Double Six of Paris would never be equaled. Then I heard NYV at Jazz in the Grove in Bay
Springs, Mississippi. Now this group rules.
