Yeah, the public video counters can be pretty unreliable once they get over 300 views. They tend to get updated reasonably regularly (e.g., couple of times per day) but sometimes they get stuck for days and even weeks. Also views from different platforms such as mobiles and tablets and different geographies seem to be on different update cycles. It's also possible that you're the only one viewing the vid, so thanks. :-) Ron
@iamRottenRon I know! Seriously, it's been, like, two days and I've viewed this vid atleast 3 billion times and view counter hasn't gone up at all. Keep up the good work, I'm your #1 fan. You've inspired me to get out my old guitar and try to learn these songs again, thanks.
Good to hear that you've picked up the guitar again. I always regretted stopping many years ago. One thing that really helped me this time around is ensuring that I play every day, even if it's just for a few minutes.Good luck and thanks a million for the support - Ron
Yes, all four of my David Bowie covers were flagged with content ID matches, e.g., "matched third party content" which indicates that the videos may include content that is owned or administered by specific entities. The videos are still available worldwide, however in some cases ads may appear next to the video. This is quite common when doing covers - Ron
Thanks for viewing. The guitar make is "Godin" and the model is "Detour". I bought it used but based on what I read online Godin is a Canadian company. The guitar parts are made in Canada although the guitar itself is assembled in the U.S. - Ron
This is AMAZING! You are VERY good. David Bowie is my IDOL I LOVE everything about him and to hear a good cover of his songs is rare for me so congrats! I saw you also have a vid of you playing Young Americans. Do you think you'll do more of his songs?
Thanks so much for viewing and the kind assessment. I got the impression from your channel that you were a big David Bowie fan and I can't say that I blame you. I'm a huge fan as well and I'm currently working on a cover of Ziggy Stardust, one of my favourite Bowie personas. I should be able to post it in the next week or so. Thanks again for the feedback - Ron
Hey Gris, thanks so much for stopping by. I think Bowie had one of the best and most distinctive voices in rock. I loved his short-lived Ziggy Stardust persona. Thanks for viewing and commenting - Ron
Hey dude, nice to hear from you. Yes you're right, a lot of his songs have great basslines. I did a bass cover of Young Americans a while back although my sound quality wasn't very good back then. Thanks for viewing - Ron
Nice job Ron - really plesure to listen and watch how you playing this. You made guitar lauder so it's now clearer seen that you're playing this after all it's your cover :)
Thanks man! I was a huge Bowie fan awhile back and I'm currently re-discovering his great catalog of music. Many thanks for taking time to comment - Ron
Well, Jagger and Bowie did do a duet together (cover of Dancing in the Streets). Also, I'm quite sure you weren't around when it was released in 1974, so all is forgiven. :-) Thanks for viewing - Ron
Can you make a few guitar covers for Metallica?

Uh, I think the view counter is broken because it's only counting my view!
