  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • Since when has a Trex had lethal forearms?

  • @XxSierraLeonexX When they say "it's the t-rex of the bug world" they are referring it to be the very best or "top dog".

There wasn't anything that could top a rex except a larger rex. With it being so advance, physically powerful and highly muscular with powerful jaws(as well as high intelligence, but that isn't something shared with a mantis) made it the undisputed king(this is basically a giant mantis rank in the "bug world" of their environment)

  • Feed it to the ants!!

  • is it wrong to say this made me hungry?

  • 1:39

    that grasshopper said "heeelp meeeeee"

  • why the fuck do they put in thos retarded soundeffects? -.-

  • Well, a hornet can kill it easily.

  • they camouflage themselves so their prey can't see them?

  • Booomm!!Head ShoT!!

  • from the sounds effect sounds like a young tiger...last time i rember mantis dont make noises like a roaring TIGER -_________________________-

  • shut the fuck up about the sound effects, its called monster bug wars, it's part of the fun.

  • If the Praying Mantis was any bigger it would be more like a armored machine than an insect.

They would be the Star Wars IG-88's of the world, so thankfully they are exactly the right size. I think they had been the size of a very large Rodentia they would have probably wiped-out entire species, Genus.

  • Y do u think theres Mantis Style in Kung Fu

  • As an insect lover this video makes me rage SOOOOO hard.

They are trying to dramatize nature to make it cool. First they put in retarded Jurassic Park sound effects, and then they start describing mantises as "T-rexes of the insect world" ROFLMAO!

These video's aren't really professional. They're more like MANTISES ARE FUCKING AWESOME DINOSAURS THAT WILL RAPE YOUR HOUSE AND BURN YOUR WIFES

  • In warmer months you will probably come across a Praying Mantis in pretty much any open field, especially Southern Canada.

We had a huge field out back when I was a teenager, and everytime I would catch one of those little alien looking creatures I would exame it.

Only, looking closely at their heads from every angle, I could never figure out if those little black dots starring back at me were actually the centering points in which a Mantis directed it's main focus. Guess not.

  • grasshopper : waa waa.. wa

  • This woman scientist is deeply, deeply lonely, so she lives her life vicariously through this bug.

    Kinda sad, really.

  • @afterapplepicking You are 100% right. I keep praying mantises and her description of them is retarded. "THEY ARE THE TOP RAINFOREST PREDATORS" Lmao? "THEY ARE ON DUTY ALL THE TIME" and the the retarded commentator proceerds with "They are the T-rexes of the insect world"

T-rexes of the insect world? ROFLMFAO. It's obvious that this woman didn't really study mantises.

    THIS. VIDEO. IS. FUCKING. RETARDED

  • 'never stood a chance' sounds like tryndamere's taunt from LoL

  • @XpiR3d yeah but it wasn't a big mantis it was a small one.... a female chinesee mantis would fuck that giant hornet it can each 15 cm

  • I love the voices of the bugs. Much more dramatic.

  • If it really happened in 30 - 50,000 of a second we wouldn't be able to see any movement but we can so yeah, old lady you are wrong

  • What's up with the exaggerated sounds?thought I was listening to a Baby Koala bear getting killed.

  • 1:20 im watching you

  • except i just saw a giant hornet rape this bug....

  • Am I the only person who kept thinking "Omnomnomnomnomnomnom" as it was eating?

  • That mantis reminds me of Mantis from Kung Fu Panda.

  • CANT YOU SEE.THERE GONNA EAT US ALL.NOOOOOOO

  • seriously, what's with the retarded sound effects

  • @Palpab1e don't say that word. racist

  • @Palpab1e

because videos like this are used in Elementary Schools. It's a way to get the children's attention.

  • hahahaaaaaa^^ ...is lamb^^ fascinating^^

  • 1:37 no baby kittens were harm during this video

  • 4 people lost a bet on this battle

  • lol i'm watching this while i'm eating :) disgusting...

  • makes me want to run out into the streets with a knife gutting everyone is see. TEARING THEM LIMB FROM LIMB! RIVERS OF BLOOD! RIVERS OF BLOOD!!!

  • green manits model now? 00:16

  • THAT GRASSHOPPER IS A LAMB

  • autentick!!! SUB!

  • 1:29

    fml....

  • I used to live in Las Vegas, NV. And in the city (Not the desert of coarse) Where tons of these beautiful Mantis's of green and pink colors. I had always wanted to see one in action. They are very kind to humans they may crawl up your leg and give u a fright but I have spent a lot of time holding and looking at the creature. It is quite beautiful especially the pink ones.

  • Its not T - rex Actually - its sounds like velociraptor from Jurassic Park

  • So DIscusting But Amusing!

  • THEY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT INSECTS!

"Mantids need to eat all the time"... they can last 2 weeks or more without food!

Secondly the FUCKING retarded sound effects. They sound like a dinosaur.

Stop making these video's more interesting with retarded sound effects and comparisons to dinosaurs.... ffs.

  • @Shadowblood66 um....seriously i think you're reading way too much into this. This show was meant for entertainment as well as a little education on the side. The sound affects were there to add humor to it. I like it this way and i enjoy the study of insects so this show is absolutely wonderful to me. No need to bash the show just because you don't like it

  • Look that's alien right there. He doesn't pops out of your belly, but the female actually eats the the male's head while having sex. She needs his brains to restore her strenght :)

    That's femme fatale for you.

  • Wonder if those noises at the end were real. The grasshopper sounds like it's screaming.

  • Scyther just got real.

  • @freddur ahaha nice one ahhaah

  • imagine a praying mantis is standin behind you just standin like that

    i would shit my pants

  • "there's one more thing about the Giant Rainforest Mantis...

    It's Gay"

  • FINISH HIM!! 1:30

    ..Fatality

  • would rather call it the sniper of the forest. Stays hidden, you don't notice, and when the strike happens, it happens big and fast

  • The Forrest Mantis is the honey badger of the bug world.

  • im hungry :O

  • Mine doesn't growl.

  • Mantids are ambush predators.....they usually lose to similarly sized bugs and small predators because they simply aren't built for a prolonged fight.......if they can't get the first strike to work, the opponent can seriously injure or kill it. They are fragile.

  • i actually like the sound effects! it makes everything more intense!

  • O_O

  • did someone else think that they put insects in battles intentionally like in most other videos in this show?

  • i used to "have" a praying mantis. Me and my brother found it on our parking lot, one spring day. It was REALLY tired. I brought it to school one day in a bug catcher cage.(I brought it to school because i had to bring something created by God for my school assignment. I went to private school then.) MY classmates were sorta grossed out, but i wasn't really because i really had a passion for bugs.(im a girl) Then i let it go on a tree in aftercare outside. I still remember it.

  • @canary767 Did you feed it? :O

  • @prettypinkcupcakes55 yea i did i fed it a roly poly cuz that was the thing i could catch that day ^^;

  • in 1:34 the guy said this ''hapless'' rather than helpless lol

  • MANTID! WTF DRLINDA S RAYOR

  • i like how the grasshopper was saying "nuuuu!" at the end. lol

  • you know that you will be starved for intellectual stimuli when the first five seconds demonstrates the narrator calling the learning subject a stealthy ninja

  • So a Mantis sounds like a dinosaur and when it swings it's arms it makes sword clashing noise.

    I never knew.

  • @N4RUT0Ship this is a less witty comment than you think! how do you know what a dinosaur sounds like?

  • @jasonistehgreatest Actually, we could look at what dinosaurs related to the most today which are crocodiles and birds and they make a "roar." Also when taking the body structure of an animal, you could compare it to living animals today. You could take that and approximate what a dinosaur sounds like too by the shape of the skull, neck, and chest.

It's actually a pretty witty comment, since bugs wouldn't sound like that to begin with.

  • @Tobeconcluded bird dont roar

  • @bb12765 Ostrich Roars. Please go to school.

  • @MickeysParadise Have fun with the mosquitos, bluebottles, houseflies, wasps, etc etc etc driving you insane

  • mantis rex is comming

  • :20 "Mantits"

  • Scytherrrrrrrrrrr

  • careful, he knows kung fu

  • fail sound effects hahaha but cool vid!

  • Those sound effects are HILARIOUS !!

  • Zerg attack!!

  • The T-Rex? Is a Mantis a big, lumbering insect that often scares their insects away from their kills, no. They just said it was a "Stealthy Assassin" T-Rex was Seven tons, what 7 ton monster would be a "Stealthy Assassin"?

  • @5aq HAHA! thats rich

  • grasshopper=sheep????

  • Giant Rainforest Mantis

"It's better and cheaper than Squashing boots!"

    Sponsors Teletubbies

  • My bad a Sciter, time ot use a poke ball

  • Omg that poor grasshopper D:

  • @xi5stargix there is a video of a black widow fighting a black widow prett even match watch that =]

  • O wow

  • now that, is called being EATEN ALIVE

  • I saw a mantis like this eat a bug once. And yes, it actually does make a crunching noise when it eats.

  • they should put him up against a tarantula make it more even!

  • Damn nature! You scary!

  • @jackedup400

    Scary?

In my opinion this is Wonderful.

    I really like Mantis :)

  • just get rid of the sound effects

  • Cant stop thinking of Kung-Fu Panda when watching this

  • T-rex of the bug world! (has powerful forearms) Not the t-rex of the bug world!!

  • @Redtrooper2

So true. The opposite of a T Rex in fact.

  • @Redtrooper2 its the Spinosaurus of the bug world then! :D lol

  • DAMN he's straight nommin' on his head

  • The sound effects are the best part, I don't see what everyone is complaining about

  • overuse of sound effect much i like this show but there is a limit to how much i can stand

  • i have 8 giant asian mantis juveniles at home.i feed them spiders grasshoppers crickets moths flies beetles. whatever i can catch i will feed them. .adult females are vorarcious. .once i feed a 5 inch female which had molted 2 days ago and had not eaten four 2 inch grasshoppers and 4 one inch moths within 4 hours. after that it ignored prey even when they walk right past it. the next day it began eating again after passing pellet like shit. adult males eat much less.

  • i have 8 giant asian mantis juveniles at home.i feed them spiders grasshoppers crickets moths flies beetles. whatever i can catch i will feed them. even the odd dragonfly and bee.

  • I love the ridiculous flange effect added to that last sentence.

    Mantises are way too pretty.

  • lol it sounbds like it was killing a pig hahaha asif how lame

  • STOP WINING ABOUT THE SOUND EFFECTS!

  • love the editing and sound effects haha

  • Damn, y'all don't waste no time on youtube...didn't this come on yesterday?

  • @J801506

I was listening to "you've got a friend in me" at the time of writing that... how creepy is that xD ??

  • They shouldn't add monster sounds for drama.

  • @J801506

Well actually, I remember a documentary about the t-rex arm, the memory is vague, but the t-rex arm was about the same size of the human arm, and something like 10x stronger xD

If the T-rex could reach, it could still bench press cars lol

I suppose there's some irony in that

  • I fucking LOOOOVEEE the sound effects :D

  • I absolutely LOVE how they put in those sound effects. It brings a comical touch to an otherwise brutal display of nature.

  • Flawless Victory!

  • Woah talk about cool and at the same time fucking gross !!

  • The sound effects are hilarious. The grasshopper sounded like a baby dolphin getting punched.

  • EPIC

  • Alive. Alive. Alive. Alive.
