  • THIS is a rehearsal???... THAT could have been RELEASED!...

AND, where on Earth does one find rehearsal material from before the digital era that's so refined and in sync???

  • @richiardos u find it in Paul attempting to get it RIGHT, ugh, that is THE Paul ya know, ooops, sorry, Sir Paul if u plz

  • Thanks for posting this Paul McCartney classic. The sheet music for the original piano part on "Maybe I'm Amazed" can be found at manymidi.com/sheetmusic.htm - a note-for-note transcription.

  • rip linda

  • I have never heard or seen this version before. It is awesome. Does anyone have a copy of the version he filmed for the Ed Sullivan Show back in 1970? I remember seeing that version on TV back in 1970. I used to own all of his albums on vinyl right up to the London Town album.

  • Best fucking screams in rock 'n' roll.

  • OMG!!!!! I love this song so much!!!! I've loved this song since the early 80s, now its 2011!!!!! I listen to it almost everyday!!!! I've got it in concert, original, and different artists singing it. It's one on the best of the best!!!!! Can't say enough!!!!!!!! RIP Linda....

  • Best version of this song. It's a shame this version was never released as a single

  • Lo que daría por ser ese perro!

  • I think that the drummer at 4:27 was really amazed

  • 2 people remember the 60's

  • he is such a hero.. <3

  • In my opinion ths is McCartney's best solo effort, The song just rocks and the piano brings it home. Love it, and it is about Linda who was a good gal in spite of the negative press. She loved Paul, and he her.

  • maybe i'm amazed 2 people disliked this

  • Cult deprogrammer: I did get Paul McCartney out of Wings.

Homer: You idiot! He was the most talented one.

  • rip Linda we still love ya !!!!! I grew up with Paul on the stereo.......first album I remember liking was Beatles Rubber Soul

  • rip Linda we still love ya !!!!!

  • Fantastic song

  • Am I the only one who thinks the dog is included because he was the song's producer?

Truly great song along with Jealous Guy and Got My Mind Set On You.

  • Paul's scream at the end, the drummer is like wtf just happened? O.o

  • I'm glad you're home from the hospital, Hon. We missed you and love you. I'm borrowing this tune from him. I don't think he'll mind . . . too much, huh?

  • incredible version

  • i am amazed

  • Magnifique!!!! TY!

  • Of all the singing voices I've ever heard, Macca's is my favourite!

  • Maybe if you play Maybe I'm Amazed backwards, you'll get a neat recipe for lentil soup..

  • @lizziejdixon that was nothing but a joke on the simpsons

  • @lupin3222 yh, its not on the track but its on the simpsons dvd :D :D

  • the vest version i've ever listened!! more than great!!

  • 3:25 Love.♥

  • On the original recording Paul played everything.

  • I wish i wrote this song... its so beautiful

  • Linda broke up Wings

  • great song paul

  • It is Jimmy on guitar with Denny Laine. The drummer is Geoff Britton, not Denny Seiwell

  • He couldn't have done what he did after the Beatles without the help of Linda.

    Plain and simple.

  • @aknowneemus

    ???Say What???

  • PAUL HAS THE MOST AWESOME VOICE! HE "IS" MY FAVORITE BEATLE! GEMINI'S RULE BABY!

  • PAUL HAS THE MOST AWESOME VOICE! HE "IS" MY FAVORITE BEATLE!

  • I LOVE Linda.

  • Wow a artist who sounds the same live and at the studio

  • @jamoreno88 yea look at people like mj and paul who have been doing this there whole lives............fucking great

  • I love this song!!! especially when its "a little"bit screamy! lol

  • ... I just felt like hearing this song .. and I'm glad I did <3

Note: Paul is a June 18th Gemini (:

  • gorgeous...

  • This is the best version I have ever heard! Pauls vocals are amazing!!

  • why does this sound better than the original

  • @GmodAttic i think the Rhodes electric piano sounds better than the acoustic in the original or released version

that's why it sounds better to me anyway.

    everyone sounds great, too.

  • Wow. Stll love this song and the Paul and Linda love story. Also, I'm amazed by the way this song was recorded with Paul, playing piano and his band playing their instruments while he was laying down the vocals. Part of the beauty of this song is the way the instruments emote along with his voice. Sad to say that this type of approach to recording, is rarely used these days.

  • @dongato90 This is a rehearsal for the Wings over America Tour. Paul recorded the original in 1970 and he played everything.

  • who was the guitarist ?

    thx

  • best version of the song..Poor george why did linda have to die

  • @GmodAttic While I'm sure George was sad when Linda died, it probably affected Paul more. ;)

  • @babygirltessa Hey dont you notice that He sounds better in this version than any other one? And especially when he does the falsetto.. sounds ALOT better here

  • why did linda have to die? paul was obviously very in love with her and he had enough tragedies in his life. from his mom to john and george to linda and others.

  • Absolutely timeless... Paul McCartney is a freaking genius!!!

  • wow where the hell did you get this isagio

  • Seventh Grade. At a friend's house. Heard it for the first time. Oh, my goodness. I think to self: I do not want Paul McCartney to be my father, afterall.

:D I just love that man.

  • What I would do to be able to yell like Paul.

  • @Off3Topic i know right

  • go jimmy

  • This solo (Jimmy) was the reason I picked up a guitar in the first place. Thank you Jimmy!!

  • I love the ending! Such a beautiful song.

And I love the way Linda looks at him. That's true love right there...

    Love you forever, Paul.

  • ja singen konnter schon der paule

  • pure genius.

  • actually wouldn't it be 7 decades?

    50's

    60's

    70's

    80's

    90's

    00's

    10's

    that's 7 different..

  • @CapAnson1973 no. he started in 57, and we just started 2010. so he just started six

  • Who's the dummy on drums?

  • denny siewell is on drums ....

  • @drtrdr99 This is not Denny, it is Geoff Britton

  • @gbmaccafan r u sure thats not jimmy mcCulloch

  • @MrCeja1 Geoff Britton, didn't last much longer than 6 months

  • BEST OF THE BEST

  • And in 4 days he will start his 6th. He says that he is amazed, but I am the one that is amazed!!

  • He has given concerts in 5 decades and in each one he is as good as it gets.

  • Buena canción!!! un genio Paul!

  • As was said before, the greatest talent in the world,not much doubt about it.;

  • one of the most beautiful song ever!

  • Comment removed

  • No it isn´t, is about Linda. ;)

  • Sir Paul McCartney is one of most important musician of all the time. He plays all kind of instruments and make compositions like no other.

  • GREATEST TALENT ON EARTH

  • He has the best voice ever!!! and sooo sexy!!! <33333

  • Happy Birthday Linda! She would have been 68 years old today.

  • @unemployedfarmer Paul turns 68 June 18

  • @QueenBeatlesWings Yeah, him and I share the same birthday (though much different years)

  • I love this song... The words are so powerful, explaining the way we all feel wen we just realize that we are in love!!!! It's scary and beautiful at the same time!

  • The guitarist looks like he doesnt want to be here

  • @Teneria16 Naw. That's just Denny, He stuck throught till the end\. He's just stoned. He's pretty much always stoned.

  • why the fuck do you hate paul

  • That's because he's more than human. And your'e not smart enough to get it. Go back to listening to the jonas brothers. You'll be OK.

  • HOW?!?! Paul is such an inspiration to millions of people!

  • best verison of this song

  • AGREED! we do a version of this too... gotta be one of my favourite songs ever!

  • great lead guitar playing

  • so much feeling in this version - paul is a genius

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was wondering what he was playing, then he hit the run, and I noticed it was electric piano

  • that scream at the end... so ridiculously awesome.

  • I love the whole song, but especially the beginning. His voice jumps out at the beginning, and it's just startling how good it is.

  • Is the guitarist Jimmy McCulloch?

  • yes it is..

  • MOST TALENTED MAN ON EARTH

  • Totally Agree

  • ya frontman your exactly correct.

  • Wow his voice is just great no one will ever be as good as paul.

  • I would chop off my left leg to meet Paul McCartney , Have been a fan since I was 10 , I am 49 now

  • I get it ! Isn't that what his ex-wife did ?

  • thats not what I meant bigdaddy

  • 1974 was a great a year for music with songs like this and Tiny Dancer

  • Is he using an electric piano in this?

  • Yes.

  • Well, is this a gag reel? Why don't the lips match the singing?

  • i think Paul is just that kick-ass. he has the ability to sing with his lips not matching the words.

    lol

a beautiful song, a beautiful Beatle, a beautiful musician, just everything is beautiful about it. :)

  • the video is old thats why...off sync...but a least the sound is still good :D

  • love this guy!

  • Fantastic song, they dont come like this these days..

  • A prodigious talent. He has melody at his fingertips.

  • Love this version by the way, I like the electric piano much better o;

  • same sounds more ...right

  • probably one of the best love song ever written ......(apart from those of jacques Brel of course..even though..)

  • voice, piano, perfect.

  • i like the released version better :/

  • I think that both versions kick ass, they're just different.

  • is this from one hand clipping film?

  • I'm thinking this was recorded in Nashville, in the summer of '74, where Paul and Wings, were vacationing, rehearsing, and recording. I meet Jeff Britton, the drummer (on "Junor's Farm), and he was'nt in the band much longer, after Nashville. Paul, Linda, and Denny were as friendly as could be. As a college student, who was "in the right place, at the right time", interacting with Paul and Linda outside the studio several times, that's a memory I will cherish forever.

  • @lcmoorejr It's such a great song. A great piece of music. I wonder why it wasn't released as a single until years later? Maybe I'm wrong, Johns Imagine wasn't released as a single either. What I admire about Paul was he never seemed bitter after the break up. He moved on to the next phase of his life. I was 16 in the summer of 74' and was lucky enough to see him at the Boston Garden in 1976. He's still doing it today. Amazing.

  • At 4:12 I think is one of the most powerful screams Paul has done.

  • Totally Agree!

  • @Marshallguy1

Totally... And the most meaningful, too. 'Cause usually when he screams it's not nearly as emotive as this.

  • Even sexy with that mullet.

  • @jacksonkent28

I know, right? How did he do it?

  • I dedicate this song to my lovely friend Laura :D

  • lol how can you dedicate that song to anybody if you are neither the composer nor the singer nor the one who put it on youtube??

  • Because it makes me think of her, and she liked the fact that I did, is that really such a bad thing?

  • LOL! xD That's something I would've done. xD!!!

  • beautiful song

  • Holy crap, that scream at 4:13 is the peak of the song. That's right up there with a Cobain scream! This man is one of the greatest musical geniuses of our time. I feel honored to get to watch him perform.

  • this is better than sex... there, i said it - and you know i'm right! ;)

  • this is the wings, not the beatles and had nothing to do with the beatles other than the fact the paul was the front man in both. and if you are a big fan of the beatles try across the universe.

  • I was born in 68 and grew up listening to the Beatles and Paul McCratney and Wings. I've seen Paul in concert twice and and have never seen anyone in concert that moved me so much. It is so cool to see this video. I'm glad that the younger generation enjoys this music.

  • Linda was so gorgeous

  • this song is one of the best .. i was born in 91 so i wasnt alive when they were really doing this . but i grew up listening to them and watching their movies .. and the music today is crap compared to this .. no one can ever be bigger than the beatles . .. you cant top them .. i have alot of there records .. *sigh* what i would give to see them perform together :'(

  • I would do the same as you said, born in 91' too...wish i'd born much earlier...I wanna be there when this songs were the talk of town...I wanna be Macca's son...and yes today's music is too artificial...

  • I agree. I was born in 87 and I just wish I could of been alive to see The Beatles perform. There are Beatles cover bands that are pretty good. My favorite is RAIN: The Beatles Experience. It was amazing. I felt like I was watching the real thing. Check them out if they're ever around your area.

    Angelo

  • I agree, the guy who does Paul for Rain is unbelievable. Not quite as good a range but I don't think anyone can come close. Seeing Rain in Toronto was one of the best nights of my life, as an 87 baby myself.

  • Hey, it warms my heart that you young guys appreciate this music. I was born in 67 and band on the run, wings over america was the soundtrack of my childhood, with a little luck was one of the first things i ever taped on casette when I was about 10... I bought flowers in the dirt at the end of the eighties but I more or less forgot about Macca. Until he came to Antwerp on his 2002 tour. I went to the show and it really blew me away. This guy was there when it al started, and still going strong

  • im gonna cry and wag like a week of school when pual dies :'( no one appreciates this anymore.

  • It's coming to the end of the world for people who really listens to this kind of priceless work of art...I'm one of them...='(

  • 最初の来日で大麻不法所持して残念だったが東京ドームには行ったぜ。

    感激したよ。
