Emmanuel. God with us. He who resided in Heaven, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Spirit, willingly descended into our world. He breathed our air, felt our pain, knew our sorrows, and died for our sins. He didn't come to frighten us, but to show us the way to warmth and safety.
A lady from Texas once told my son and I, "You CAIN'T go wrong with Randy Travis!" She was so right and now whenever we hear a song by Randy, we say the same thing... "You CAIN"T go wrong with Randy Travis!" His voice and range are phenomenal.
Randy Travis can sing any song in any genre and it's great, so sad we don't hear more of him now days. I'd rather have the simple music as all the hyped up added crap they have now days.
It saddens me that many people know 3:16~
....but don't know what it says after that.:
John 3:17 For God
did not
send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him.
~*~*~*~*~*
He saves us from ourselves for our sake. He guides us into being saved from others wrongs too~

You know this song is talking about your sins being washed away because Jesus Christ shed his blood on the cross.

This is the kind of country and gospel music I love! Modern country sounds too much like pop.
