  • I don't like in English :/

    I prefer Serbian version ♥♥♥

  • I haven't seen anyone mention the song title translation. "Lane moje" means "My young deer". It sounds sweet in the Serbian language but it's really silly in English.

  • I'm still getting chills even though Serbian version is way better.

  • English isbetter even tho USA speeks English british

  • difference in Serbian and Croatian language is same as in American English compared to British ... yet either side will claim how their language is so different which is in fact so petty .... After the war they had they both sides tried to distance themselves, creating imaginary differences that are not really there .... Croats even started inventing new words (known as Tudzmanice)

  • Serbia the best country in the world, even though i live in Australia i miss my motherland so much :(

  • the words don't rhyme as much in english. It just doesnt flow

  • @RyGil91 in english it makes no sence ;)

  • try romanian version :D search adrian minune stau si plang in fata ta ;)

  • @alexsamy89 Prietene, nici nu se compara. Asta e arta, ce a facut minune e plagiat/kitsch.

  • I like the Serb version better. The Ukranian won because it was in English and because she was a young women. He should of won this, and in many people's hearts, he did.

  • i dont speak or understand serbian at all but i do like this song in serbian better than in english. theres just something about it in serbian that makes it a lot more poetic and beautiful. you guys really do have a beautiful language and culture.

  • @RockabillyDoll13 Thanks for the comment. Not all of our culture is beautiful, but this definetly is. Cheers from Cleveland. Serbian or not, I love his songs.

  • it is simple beautiful

  • I think they should have asked me to do the English translation!

  • @sneighwena Could you do it in a comment anyway?

I've read several of them but every translation says something different at some points... If you're accurate it'd be great to read it! (please? :))

  • Telecom Egypt took this melody on a Advertisement

  • yes agree, serbian is better , sounds more romantic and mystic though i do not understand it

  • @devrilgenkayik it sounds romantic and mystic BECAUSE u dont understand it hehe :D

  • @devrilgenkayik Well this is a pretty rough translation, it doesn`t make much sence in Serbian too. When I think of you I'm afraid not to fall in love with you again Plunge my teeth into blue lips To forget the real pain My sweetheart, these days I don`t grieve any more I only ask if your alone to people I can`t hear My sweetheart, go tonight it doesn`t matter with who find someone alike me so at least he doesn`t love you May someone else kiss your lips, so I can get over you more easy.
  • @Philipa0

You don't know much about poetry, do you?

  • zeljko joksimovic is a great singer!

  • Hello to Serbia from an Irish fan ....this song was excellent !!!

  • TZ! In english, there came no "feelings",I'm german and love the serbian lyrics, full of feeling Heartpain and Beautiful words...that i can cry hearing it!!!

In english is only plastic, sorry! ASnd he must won on eurovision,it's a shame that he only was the 2nd...

  • wow ...goose bumps!! :)

  • refrain translation from Serbian to English literally will be : "my dear at this days i no more grieving" , its kinda stupid to make song like that , on serbian is nice:"lane moje ovih dana vishe i ne tugujem" but on english is kinda stupid :D because of that song lyrics is changed...

    cheers from serbia !

  • I love this song. I appreciate the English version as my Serbian is not proficient yet. But it looses soooo much! Serbian version is so much better! But still love this song!

  • lovely song, I love it and I have included it in my favourites.

  • i love this song, probably my favourite entry ever so its cool to be able to understand what its about, but i like it better in Serbian...

  • it's much better in serbian!

  • i respect very much this guy but i don t wanna hear this version for a second time.

  • Why is the Serbian version betther, or hate you the song?

  • cause there is not compare between the two versions.the serbian one is much better.

  • I know it, I`m serbian... Poz is svizarske

  • great

  • he has a great voice that's for sure! <3

  • I agree!!!!!!:)

  • Dosadna pjesma

  • In English this song AMAZING too as in native language..I love it))))

  • auch, auch! Typical Balkan sound and translated in English?? No!!! Even though I don´t understand most of the words in Serbian I much more prefer that version...

btw what is the Serbian version about?

  • The Serbian Version is about a man who left his wife and who is scared that he could fall in love with her again. Its just amazing.

  • thank you :)

  • He has a beautiful voice and is quite handsome

  • When I have the money I will be buying this on cd. I love the song it soothes and moves me.

  • I didn`t know there was an English version of the song but I really think that this should have been the song of Eurovision 2004 :) Lane moje is an awsome song and I love it. Greetings from Bulgaria :))

  • lepse je na srpskommmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • da.. 1000 puta bolje na našem..

  • well if all bosnian muslims went back to Bosnia, there would be more than 70 %

  • puno je bolje na nasem

  • it's really good but i like it better when he sing in serbian.

say goodbye just isn't the same as lane moje.

  • can everyone say me why bosnia dont like serbia and why this both countries have problems with islam? thank you

  • who says that serbia has a reason to like bosnia? i am bosnian serb and i loveeeeeeeeee serbia!

  • Because in Bosnia over 40% of population are Muslims.

  • honey, there is no chance for you to understand that problem. You have to be born here , and be member of one of these 3 nations ( Serbs, Croats, Bosnian Muslims) to understand that problem to the bottom. It is Balkan thing witch includes religion, history, territory and national identity .

  • There is no problem, the thing is - 3 nationalites, 3 republics, 3 religions but, funny fact, the SAME LANGUAGE (differences are minor), and these 3 were one for 50 years as Yugoslavia, and Slovenia was in too :) and few more...

Problem is made on purpose by politicians because war brings money and power to the few on top, and the big mass down easily gets crazy and mad as a result of controled media like TV... So now we have shity lifes and that is the result. there is no problem with islam or

  • Bosnian and Serbs love eachother..what is it with you..get informed..people love eachother, have familyes and salibrate together new years and visit eachother..just have different holidays sometimes..but we are all human..

  • Zeljko you are so big talent!

  • my all time most favourite song! thanks Zeljko.. you are a great talent and an inspiration <3

  • both verzions r awesome.......

  • nice, nice, but the Serbian version is much better

  • he can good english... but the serbian version is better

  • i heart this

    umm LOL wierddddddDdd x3

  • In english he is good....in serbian he is better...but in both he is awesome!

  • romanian version : watch?v=xmX0U3FzCIw anyway the serbian version is the best ;)

  • It's incredible how music can unite us, beyond all the difference

    Beautiful song...both versions:D

  • When he say: Say goodbye you don't get that good feeling like when he say: Lane moje.

  • Serbian Version is MUCH BETTER !!!!!

  • english is just not the right language for that kind of melody...serbian version is the best

  • I agree. The serbian language is a part of the song. It´s much better in the original language even that I don´t understand Serbian.

  • @aiela I agree, and I'm an American! By the way, can the Serbian lyrics be understood in Croatian? I read that spoken Croatian is generally the same as spoken Serbian, but neither Serbians or Croatians will admit to this. :-)

I absolutely LOVE this song! I am a singer, and I am learning Lane Moje to sing it at a small-town karaoke bar! Yes, in front of a bunch of American rednecks! They could use some culture.

  • @selatik1 the croatians speak serbian and the bosnians too!!! and is 100% the same!!!

  • @dinamik7 no they don't and no it's not. they're very similar languages, we can understand each other but they're not the same. zbroji se intelektualno, gramaticki i sintakticki, po mogucnosti sto prije.

  • @selatik1 spoken or written (it makes no difference) croatian and serbian are not the same, but yes, we can understan serbian without any difficulties. any croat would tell you that, but insisting the 2 languages are the *same* is just plain wrong. are spanish and portuguese? they can also understand each other fairly easy.

  • @BAFIdaVEMPAJRslejr do you really believe in shit you say?

"croatian" is in fact SERBIAN and we can understand each other perfectly! your comparison is bad - instead od "spanish & portuguese" you should have compared "spanish and mexican" cause it's obvious that there is no "mexican", only spanish, and there is no "croatian" - it's serbian which you're trying to change for decades now, just to make it look another language.

  • @aiela I agree, it sounds alot better in Serbian, but at least english speakers will know what the song is about now.

  • @aiela you got that right :)

  • @aiela you are SO right!

  • the serbish version is much better..

  • He Sounds So Good speaking english ,

    He so yummyy.

    :D

  • You sound so yummy ;)

  • thanks.

  • I love Zeljko and I hope to hear new songs of him....

  • can someone translate the serbian version - or is it similar with the english version ?

  • Translation of Serbian version

    When I bethink of you

I'm afraid to love you again

In bluish lips jab my teeth

    Real pain to forget

    Fawn mine, in those days

    I don't even suffer anymore

I'm just asking are you alone

To the people I can't hear.

  • Fawn mine, tonight go

    Doesn't matter with who

    Find someone lime me

At least for me not to love you.

    Let someone else

    To kiss your lips

    To easier get over you

    (refrain)

    To no longer love you.

  • "Find someone like me" not lime.

  • the serbian version is better , because you also feel like the song what he like to tell us .

  • does anyone know where to buy this mans cds in America? I found the eurovision 2004 cd but it says it does not play on American CD players, so I wonder if it's even possible to find cds of his music that will play on American players.

  • "erb6590"

you can go to any pharmicy and download it to a playable disk there.

  • even if i don´t onderstand all the words in serbian, i love that version... you don´t feel the song the same way in english...

viva sweden and kosova and all the rest too hehe

  • Serbian version is better, because you can feel spirit of language with adequate music.

When he sings on serbian, sounds like magic.

Zeljko lütfen TÜRKİYEye gel tüm dünya müslümanlarına selamlar.TURKEY and SERBIA.I love zeljkooooooooooooo

In actual fact, I love it and so do few of my friends who are English speakers only. :)) I guess, it just depends on which side of the planet you live on... Down Under - it seems ok... heheh - maybe it's up side down? ^-^

  • great voice, great song but in English it sucks.which tell's people stick to your own languages

  • this music of song have CANSU KOÇ.understand europe?

  • apesta en ingles!!!! in inglish sucks!!!

  • SUPER

  • definitly better in serbian. i'm from romania and i love all the songs that represented Serbia in ESC..and montenegro this year

  • this allows him to be global, in english, hecan be appreciated for his music value, which is great!

  • i am from greece but i always vote the serbians because they always have great music but the most importan is that the lyrics are ALWAYS at serbian launguge

  • it sounds too gay in english

  • waste of time.of course in sirbian is the better.

  • better serbs but still nice, the serb version should of won eurovision, instead they gave it to those Jungle rats from Ukraine jump up and down acting like monkeys

  • Serbian version is defo much much better!

+ these lyrics are totally out of the context

    pfff

  • i think it was better in serbian though i dont speak the language the words dont go together well in english

  • last place? don't know what u r talking about but he was second and he remained. although he should have been no.1

  • Does anyone know why he got the last place in eurovision afterwards?

  • Much better in serbian...

  • AMAZING.... Zeljko is absolutelly amazing... no other words.. and this song...great.. but better in serbian;) best wishes from lithuania :*

  • This is the best song ever composed in world. (I prefer srpski version though). God created this man perfect: Handsome and talented.

  • GREAT SONG.

  • The most beautiful song in the world.... With love from Bulgaria!

  • srpski version is best! Napred Zeljko...

  • Pa nije ovo ni tako lose bre...

  • Lovely video - but the English version lacks the impact of the original Serbian lyrics.

  • I would like to hold YOU in MY arms, hehe..Pusa za Zeljka :) Thanks for video :)

  • I love Zeljko singing in English. He sounds so sexy!

  • Are this english ?

  • i like both versions theyre both awesome

  • He had to change it in order for it to make sense... duuhh lol.. Come on people. Just think of this as a REmix! lol. But I still like the orginal lyrics more. They had more "Power" behind them.

  • well it has to make sence when u translate it...he not gonna say HEY MY BAMBI OR HEY MY MOOSE OR HEY MY DEER...IT MAKE NO SENCE IN ENGLIHS..CUZ THEY DONT USE SUCH SAYING....

  • part 3: the concept of the video i belive it is a short represantation of a wealthy beuty in the old days....judging by the scenes and the rooms decoration

  • part 2: do remember...the original song probably had a lot of influence from the turks..since serbia was for over 500 years under turkish ocupation..but how ever this is not a matter to be discussed here...the song is very good and very beutiful if you understand the serbian lyric...the english version is totaly missenterpeted ...

  • part 1 : for those who have some lack in education in history of the serbian people...and i will not totaly explain the entire thing..but how ever ...this song lane moje wich in correct translation do agree with superstartom means my fawn...is belived to be a very old sheppards love song...some say that this song is a bit over 300 years old at least ....the todays musical lyric is basicly still the original with some slight adjustments of the dialect....

  • The songs titles translate into my fawn, im English and even no that. A great song, should have won.

  • this is the perfect song is genial i love!!! the fragment in the name of love good bye :'(

  • The Serbian version was better... I like this song... The should be the winners in Song contest in Turkey...

  • the words are wrong damn it!!! :P the serbian version is waaaaay better. obozavam ovu pjesmu

  • who ever put this english version couldnt be more wrong that is not the version and doesnt mean goodbye u americans dont know anything im from bosnia and he is from serbia and i understand what he says i love u zeljko

  • u r completely right. the english version is absolutely nothing like the original one. they only chnaged it to this because the translation didnt exactly make sense to them. ah ko nji jebe, samo da mi razumemo :P

  • this is not how the song goes in english i know cause i know what he is saying but this is wrong its not called say goodbye what? no way well i like the other version better the one that i can understand better and that is better!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know what he says in the serbian cause im from bosnia but we speak the same way

  • i donnt get the video concept....good song

  • The video concept -Her real love is far away from her , and she is prepare to marry with another man

  • kako su ovi svi zavidni nama sto smo najbolji haha!! SRBIJA BRE!!!

  • The original version is much better than the English one.

  • the song is better in our language but its cool in this way too

  • for me too !! although i like this English version the original Serbski is just too good :)

  • The best for me in 2004 ESC!!!!
