I hate it when people try to say that Cradle of Filth isn't "Black Metal".

It's like now just because CoF got kinda big, now it's lame to like them.

Sometimes metal people can be just as trendy as everyone else, just like it;'s a trend to not like certain bands because their "big", or how if it's not "Raw & underground" it's not "TRVE" Black Metal. A genre is determined by their sound, not a band's popularity.

The first song off the album, this was my first album I bought from COF in the 8th grade, I went straight to Hottopic the day it came out. I went straight to the place where they had the CD and slammed on the counter on the cash register. I will never forget the bitch that rang me up, thought she was so hardcore goth. Stupid industrial goths, don't know good music if it hit them with a glow stick!

Old cof are awesome, new cof are awesome. All of their work is awesome. They have evolved and I am glad they did, I hope they keep changing.

I can't understand why all cof fans diss them for their newer stuff. If you like the old ones just listen to them again.

And btw Dani's voice hasn't changed that much. I've listened many many times to all their work and can't see a big difference. There are more melodic vocal parts but that doesn't mean he can growl anymore. It just wouldn't fit the song.

Sucks the band has churned out the same monotonous bullshit again and again after such a promising career. Maybe if they disappeared for ten years and really focused on their songwriting they could create something remarkable like this song. But their futile pattern of releases after this album just sound rushed and underdeveloped.
