  • His 90's IFS Toyota pu runs 35" ProComp MT's, makes around 350hp, andhe beats the snot out of that thing with no problems. He has upgraded the axles and hubs over the ten years he's been running this setup but ran stock IFS axles for years. It looks like it has the front ground clearance of an H1.

  • @jaylor75 is it the 22R-E or the 3VZ-E? I'm guessing a 3VZ-E if it's putting out 350HP or a chevy 350 swap.

  • Potsmoker5000, why on earth would you consider putting a solid axle in tje front of an XTerra?? The IFS is far superior in ground clearance off road and on road (where I'm sure you spend 99.9% of your time) is where it really shines. Don't believe the magazine and the aftermarket companies brainwashing you into believing in solid axle convert unless you plan on upping your HP significantly and running larger than 35" tires. A good friend of mine run a 90's Toyota pickup with IFS, a sbc making 3

  • @jaylor75 i wouldn't i would buy a toyota, thats my friends xterra.

  • @jaylor75 You are right though leaving it with the IFS would be better. My friend is all about the solid fronts, i think he likes Bouldering more than getting in the mud and snow. more than it's funny though because he never wants to go offroading (because he always gets stuck.) LOL. I'm a big Toyota fan for sure.

  • @jaylor75 You are right IFS would be much better for this thing but my friend is all about solid fronts for some reason. I think he likes trail driving more than getting in the mud and the snow, trail driving like over big rocks and shit. also lift kits for that thing are hard to come by, most of them consist of installing a solid front axle.

  • possibly, better tires and maybe a lift kit would make this machine operate much better in the snow.

  • @NerdForMIT it has brand new cooper tires DISCOVERER STT with only 2000 miles on them in this video, a lift would be nice. my friend was talking about putting a solid front axle on it, the kit lifts it three inches.

  • @potsmoker5000 Oh, it was hard to tell in the video the tires were dam near under the snow the whole time lol. But anyways, you ever hear of those "atomic axles" those things are to sweet.

  • @NerdForMIT no i haven't but i'm looking at them right now, they look pretty beefy.

  • @potsmoker5000 i know, they look so rock solid. but the price is like death

  • @NerdForMIT Have you seen the Unimog 404 Portal axels?

  • @potsmoker5000 well no but i googled them and they look pretty serious. the axel center is above the wheel center. interesting...

  • @NerdForMIT indeed, they are the shit.

  • @potsmoker5000 they looked so dreamy and i like that the axel is above the tire center cause them things get ya stuck when low. you should change the exhaust on your xterra make it more like a snorkel type of exhaust, cause im not sure with your vehicle if the exhaust pipes are exposed on the undercarriage or if you have a carriage cage.

  • I own a couple of Heeps and these are just as good in snow (depending on tires of course and driver skills). I have friends with Rubicons rolling on 37" KM2's get their dick knocked in the dirt when in the snow.

  • once you start moving you gotta stay on it

  • Stupid dumbfuck lol

  • i would tell this guy he definetely should have bought a jeep, whats the point of trying to off road in an xterra they are shitttyy trucks.

  • @kawasakirider78 I agree.

  • @potsmoker5000 yeah but i guess if its what you got why not have fun with it, its just amazing what like an xj can do compared to those and there both suvs

  • @kawasakirider78 yeah one of my friends has a 1997 xj and that thing is beastly.

  • @kawasakirider78 last year jeep was number 8 in the top ten worst cars

  • @loook949 yeah and? it will still beat the hell out of an xterra, you have no point at all.

  • @kawasakirider78 if you knew anything you would know that is not a truck you rug muncher.

  • because he is saving money to buy a 1994 chevy suburban 4x4 !!!!!

  • man he had it the first time backing up if he would of straighted his wheels and stayed on it, dumb ass

  • BAD DRIVER!

  • Lol the guy in the background!

  • he could have been out so many times but no lets almost get out and let off the gas lol

  • why cant he keep a steady foot on the gas..

  • Thats what i cant figure out, I've told him time and time again to just keep a steady foot on the gas but this happens.

  • @potsmoker5000 thats why he owns a Nissan not a Jeep

  • @phuckthis343 LOL

  • i found out rocking it will get you out

  • Thats what i did after he tried for like an hour.

  • No lockers! the back tire stopped spinning at the end.

  • I know it's lame.

  • he shoulda gone backward until he stopped, instead of backing up a little, then stopping, then trying backward again...

atleast it looks like he didnt, correct me if im wrong

  • Yeah he's kind of a novice, I had to get it unstuck, I put it in reverse and rocked it out.

  • 4wd?

  • yeah.

  • shoulda bought a xj you wouldnt have that problem and you would have saved about 25k

  • Actually thats what he's buying now, The timing belt on the xterra took a shit, So we're putting a new engine in it.

  • shovel could have saved hum a bit of time, gas, and lookin like a newbie

  • Indeed it would have.

  • fuck this kid man someone teach him how to drive offroad..little bitch

  • LOL.

  • why does he go then stop? just step on the gas and dont stop you would of made it......

  • He is a novice.

  • You should see the other videos of this.

  • snow is coooo

  • dam some deep shit there...nice 4x4

  • Yeah it was crazy man.

  • should of tried an FJ!!!

  • I agree!!! I am toyota my bro is nissan, I told him toget a 4runner but he was all like "mlah, i want a fucking xterra."

  • you check out my two X-Digger vids?

  • ha nice.

  • hahaha

  • No its muahahahaha. lol

  • ha .. there goes a cv joint ... if he doesnt watch it.
