It was the worst faul ever, cosnidering its an law break(not a game rule break). He assaulted the fan. Its one thing to tackle a player inside gameplay, but you dont do that to fans. You let the security handle it, noob.

In soccer, the referee is responsible for all the players' conduct - even during half-time and immediately before and after the game.

If a player behaves violently - even if it's against his own team, or other members of the public, he gets a straight red.... and even if play has been stopped.

If this guy had gone into the crowd and kicked someone just before the game started - the referee would have sent him off.
