Eddie Griffin is hilarious. He once got in trouble for DWJO (driving while jerking off) - though he was never charged for that nor a DUI in the accident. Basically, he was jerking off, and pushed another car into the front door of a gas station.
thumbs up for kobe bryant number 1! there's some point at that time for the rosters management , like caron butler for kwame brown, lakers didn't have shaq that time so they need a big man, and they have kobe instead of butler and actually kwame is the number 1 draft pick, anyways i think tyson chandler is now better than elton brand.
@Workin0nit sorry for the delayed response. it's bad for the league because the trade was collusion. Ainge and McHale (the GMs of the Celtics and T-Wolves respectively at the time of this supposed legitimate trade) were teammates and good friends. The Celtics gave up a pile of crap for a future hall of fame player.
@greenplaystations Ironically, McHale and Chief Parish went from Warriors to Celts in exchange for Joe "Barely Cares" Barry Carrol, as Pete Vecsey called him. That has to be on the list. Earl Monroe for Mike Riordan and Dave Stalworth was a rip job as well. How about Dennis Johnson even up for Rick Robey?

Kwame Brown For Butler a little Higher up...Kwame was so bad for the Lakers that they would literally lose games just from him being on the floor....STEPHEN A. SMITH SAID IT THE BEST: "And Kwame Brown, God bless his sole. IS A SCRUB!" AHHAHAH
it would depend on the time and the talent they had during the specific period. The Nowitzki trade made sense at the time coz you can't really predict potential.
What about the golden state warriors trading the draft rights for Vince Carter to the raptors for the rights to Antawn Jamison as well as the minnesotta timberwolves trading the rights to Brandon Roy to Portland for Randy Foye. Then there's the worst of all the Nets sold Dr.J to the 76ers for 3 million.

This is inaccurate evidence. Players play different with different teams. Example Steve Nash. Some teams offenses and defenses suit players well and some dont. Kobe never played a game for the Hornets it was a draft trade so how were they so suppose to know he was good? It doesn't matter how far a team goes if they didnt get a title.
Although Barkley was always my favorite player, my team has always been the Bullets/Wizards since the Webber, Juwon Howard, and Rod Strickland days. I was very happy to seen Kwame get traded for Caron Butler. I'm not sure why the Lakers would want someone as terrible as Kwame. They should've consulted me since I had watched almost every game Kwame played for the Wizards. I never knew there could be a player worse than Jahide White until I was forced to watch Kwame on the court for years.
The Barkley trade to Phoenix may have been bad for the 76ers, however, the 76ers had no choice but to do it. I remember it well since I am one of Barkley's biggest fans. Barkley threatened to retire if they didn't trade him. So the 76ers HAD to do it.
it's funny how most trades that lakers pull they have the upper hand, as it seem.. makes me kind of me suspicious with the league trying to help the LA FAKERS!!!

Pippen was a no body from central arkansas when he came in the league, every GM in basketball would of made that same trade. How about Rashard Wallace being traded to the Pistons after playing 1 game for the Hawks? The Ray Allen to boston trade was bad too, Celts got Allen, Glen Davis, and traded Wally Serbiack, delonte west and jeff green(who they now have again)
Couple of points. Baron Davis trade - it was to save on cap room, thus not a bad trade. Plus, they tanked a season, which lead them to picking Chris Paul. In the end, it's a pretty good deal. Kareem trade - he wanted to go, not much they could do. So did Barkley, and so did Wilt. Elton Brand - they wanted Chandler's talent, not a big deal, turns out he's a great player now. Kobe trade is actually decent for Charlotte. They traded a project for a seasoned veteran, they knew the risk.
@montenegrin2011 your correct on many of your points, however, im not sure anyone in heinsight would say the kobe and vlade trade was decent for charlotte. theoretically, the hornets/bobcats could have had the 2nd best shooting gaurd in NBA history on there team for many many many years, very possibly bringing them titles. instead, they had divac for a measley 2 years and then just let him walk to sacramento for nothing.
@montenegrin2011 UM......I think the one that trade kobe was new orleans they were charlotte hornets then relocated to new orleans then in 2005 charlotte bobcats was a expansion team
@toadftw23 first of all tyson chandler took an eternity to get good since he came outta highschool and how does a player drafted out of highschool (kobe) not have high hopes ?
Plus, that trade influenced the team you have now. Arron Afflalo is one of the best defensive guards in the NBA. He's a good shooter as well. Chauncey and Melo being traded also gave you the team you have now. No super stars, but plenty of hard working skilled players. With Iverson on the Nuggets it was all offense. Also, at there best...when they had Chauncey they gave the Lakers a hard time in the Western Conference Finals.
Bad trade...IN FAVOR OF WHO should be the question. If anything, the trade benefitted Memphis!
They got their center Marc Gasol in return. Also, they got Darrell Arthur with that 1st round pick. Last but not least, it bought the cap room needed to assemble their current roster, leading to one of the best Grizzlies teams of all time in 2010-2011.
If anything, the trade screwed LA, and helped Memphis.
The Elton Brand trade to the Clippers for Tyson Chandler and Brian Skinner wasn't that big of a deal. The clippers still never got that far...Brand never brought a championship to the Clippers. It's not like Tyson Chandler and Skinner were horrible either.
You didn't mention that Dallas also got the bucks first rd pick #19 for Traylor along with Dirk which they traded to the Suns for Steve Nash. So they really got Dirk and Nash two MVP's for Traylor. The Warriors traded Robert Parish and their first pick #3 to the Celtics for the #1 overall which they used to take Jo Berry Carrol. The Celtics used the #3 to take Keven McHale. So they got Parrish and McHale two hall of famers for Jo Berry Carrol who lasted two years. Two of the worst trades ever.
idk i think the wilt chamberlain trade was wrose bcuz chamberlain was in his prime when kobe was just a high school kid and also vlade divac was really good player
Amazing there's a story to each trade. Imagine if we didn't trade Caron for Kwame. A stupidity quota had to be reached with the Grizzlies. The Baron Davis trade wasn't to stupid in hindsight.
And it just seems that every 20 years Milwaukee sells their souls to the Lakers.
You think all the laker trades are bad, but when you go to the lakers you get games like the 2002 western conference all the time. On the lakers you only have to know how to flop... DEREK FISHER
Damn, Teams made horrible trades to the Lakers in terms of what they got back... and they wonder why there's no parity they gave the lakers 9 rings in just two of these trades wtf... some of these owner are retarded.
the last trade was forced by kobe... and vlade had several productive years after that trade... including be a part of the sacramento team that was robbed of a trip to the finals against kobe's lakers in the 2002 WCF by some horrible reffing.
Shit Nuggets trading Allen Iverson to the detroit pistons for chauncey billups was a dumbass trade... I hated that trade soo much cause iverson and anthony worked soo great together & thats when the nuggets were at their best..
@BrandonGStreetFights Are you crazy? You know where Iverson is playing now right?.... It was a horrible trade for the Pistons. Chauncey was our leader. Before the trade I liked Iverson a lot. That was before he was expected to be a team player. I don't hate him, but it was far worse for the Pistons. I'm a fan of Denver too so I remember the trade well. You got one hell of a leader and championship veteran and another guy maybe you know. Arron Afflalo. Yeah, he starts over J.R. Smith. Dfens/Ofens
This list needs some serious revisions the only one that really was a terrible terrible trade was Robert Traylor for Dirk Nowitzki. You have to keep in mind what the perspective was at the time. Kobe didnt want to play for Hornets getting an established vet like Divac for a unproven high school player that didnt want to play for them anyway was a pretty good move for the Hornets at the time. History always changes perception.
Im sorry but the fact that you dont have the Pau Gasol trade for Kwame Brown in there does not make this the true top 10. yes the Grizz got Marc but still. Pau for Kwame, ive seen rotting food with more game than Kwame Brown. and the Pippen for Olden, turned horrible for the Sonics but nobody expected Pippen to be what he turned out to be. as for the rest I must agree. forgot what Chuck got traded for damn! peanuts.
are u stupid? most of these trades were because of player demands not because of the teams necessarily wanting the other guy. post another video tomorrow and u might strike gold
@upyours537 That's true, but i still think when elton was at his best and how chandler is right now, chandler is still better. That's my opinion, I dont know about yours.
how about the dominique wilkins trade for danny manning that was bad cause nique was a top 10 scorer and he had his team in the top seed in the east smh
a lot of these trades were not that bad because the players were leaving anyway (kareem), in some cases at the end of their career to chase rings (i.e. wilt, CB). Also, the dirk trade is one of the worst, but you can't forget its relative in that 3 way deal, the steve nash for Pat Garrity trade. Put those 2 together and you get the best steal of all-time by Don Nelson: Nash and Nowitzki for the Tractor and Garrity. Pure Gold.
a lot of these trades were not that bad because the players were leaving anyway (kareem), in some cases at the end of their career to chase ings (i.e. wilt, CB). The celtics traded the 1st overall pick joe Barry Carrol in 79 for Robert Parrish and the pick that got the Kevin Mc Hale how is trade not there? What about the Ron Harper and 2 first round picks and 2nd rounder for Danny Ferry deal? theres two right off the top of my head that are much worse than almost anything on the list.
Where's the Gasol for Kwame Brown trade?! Seriously, Jerry West got his hands in Memphis and traded their best player for Kwame Brown (an unproven player). Lakers went on to get 2 rings and Memphis is just making the playoffs with Zach Randolph who is an aged player. Just clearing up cap space or .....?!
@Shermstyle23 Hey bud How do you like Marc Gasol? Remember the Grizzles got his right in that trade too. But of course you knew that right? lol Get the facts straight people didn't pay attention to Marc when the deal was done because he was still overseas, and so most people don't realize if not for the lakers they wouldn't have Marc or enough money to sign people like Gay because it would have been wrapped up in Paul. Again you knew that though right?
@atm1919 You do know that Rudy Gay was already playing with Pau on the Grizzlies?! you do know that Kwame Brown was the 2nd big name in the trade for Pau?! You do realize that Marc hadnt proved he could play in the NBA play style even tho he won gold with Pau in the olympics?! You do know that even OJ Mayo was not drafted by Memphis?! The trade was basically Pau for Kwame & rights to Marc (who was just a RISKY investment) & 2 first round draft picks that traded Kevin Love & resulted in Mayo
@atm1919 You do know the Lakers won with Pau 2 years in a row. CHAMPS! You do know that Marc is a decent PF/C & that OJ Mayo is a good player with lots of potential. All the Grizzlies got was potential & the Lakers got 2 years of PROVEN success. Lakers would have won it this year too if they hadnt choked so monstrously. Lakers gave up nothing to get Pau. LA gave up their risks in 1st rnd draft picks & gave it to Memphis w/Kwame & an unknown guard.
@atm1919 Memphis used their cap space to get what?! They got Marc Gasol who had no contracts in the NBA & used their draft picks to get Xavier Henry in 2010 & Kevin Love in 2008. And they traded Kevin Love for OJ Mayo. OJ Mayo is a good player with potential but Love would benefit the Griz so much as he is a player with higher team effectiveness. And thats not even mentioning the trouble theyve had with OJ off the court from steroids to fighting a teammate.
@atm1919 The deal wasnt good back when it was done for the Grizzlies and it is even worse by the implications of OJ. Kevin Love's potential was not seen then but now shows how well the Pau trade did for the Griz. You cant deny 2 championship rings for the Lakers getting Pau vs Memphis just investing in potential which has gotten them into the playoffs but with players like Zach who is aging & Marc not that far behind in terms of basketball years.Griz are going to have to win in the nxt few yrs
the elton brand for tyson chandler trade should not be on the list....... even though brand puts up numbers...its not like the clippers had much success with him. I believe both chicago and los angeles got to the playoffs at least once during each player's time in their new team although i'm almost sure that chandler's bulls had more playoff appearances. Where is the Chris Webber - Otis Thorpe/Mitch Richmond trade @?
Vlade Divac was a great player when Kobe was traded, it doesn't seem like a bad trade to me

Tracy Mcgrady to Houston worst trade ever
taylortype 6 months ago
Plus, that trade influenced the team you have now. Arron Afflalo is one of the best defensive guards in the NBA. He's a good shooter as well. Chauncey and Melo being traded also gave you the team you have now. No super stars, but plenty of hard working skilled players. With Iverson on the Nuggets it was all offense. Also, at there best...when they had Chauncey they gave the Lakers a hard time in the Western Conference Finals.

@MrTaymoo13 well like he said the best "2010-2011 team" they made it farther than the lakers...

@MrHakeem24
If anything, the trade screwed LA, and helped Memphis.
realrocky8591 6 months ago
The Elton Brand trade to the Clippers for Tyson Chandler and Brian Skinner wasn't that big of a deal. The clippers still never got that far...Brand never brought a championship to the Clippers. It's not like Tyson Chandler and Skinner were horrible either.
jerbear1223 6 months ago
@MrHakeem24
Grizz got another Gasol witch is pretty good player, so i don't think Grizz lost so much
epatamsis 6 months ago
the bucks trade was actually good so...
MissingPixel74 6 months ago

FKThrilla 6 months ago
Amazing there's a story to each trade. Imagine if we didn't trade Caron for Kwame. A stupidity quota had to be reached with the Grizzlies. The Baron Davis trade wasn't to stupid in hindsight.
And it just seems that every 20 years Milwaukee sells their souls to the Lakers.

Gasol for Kwame?

You think all the laker trades are bad, but when you go to the lakers you get games like the 2002 western conference all the time. On the lakers you only have to know how to flop... DEREK FISHER
ratsplayingbasketbal 7 months ago
Damn, Teams made horrible trades to the Lakers in terms of what they got back... and they wonder why there's no parity they gave the lakers 9 rings in just two of these trades wtf... some of these owner are retarded.
SFLZoe 7 months ago
Why wud the hornets trade kobe....Smh.Cud of had like 5 or 6 championships
XM16ProductionsX 7 months ago
the last trade was forced by kobe... and vlade had several productive years after that trade... including be a part of the sacramento team that was robbed of a trip to the finals against kobe's lakers in the 2002 WCF by some horrible reffing.
Definitely not the worst trade ever.

Shit Nuggets trading Allen Iverson to the detroit pistons for chauncey billups was a dumbass trade... I hated that trade soo much cause iverson and anthony worked soo great together & thats when the nuggets were at their best..
BrandonGStreetFights 7 months ago

Pau for Kwame, ive seen rotting food with more game than Kwame Brown. and the Pippen for Olden, turned horrible for the Sonics but nobody expected Pippen to be what he turned out to be. as for the rest I must agree. forgot what Chuck got traded for damn! peanuts.

how about the dominique wilkins trade for danny manning that was bad cause nique was a top 10 scorer and he had his team in the top seed in the east smh

a lot of these trades were not that bad because the players were leaving anyway (kareem), in some cases at the end of their career to chase rings (i.e. wilt, CB). Also, the dirk trade is one of the worst, but you can't forget its relative in that 3 way deal, the steve nash for Pat Garrity trade. Put those 2 together and you get the best steal of all-time by Don Nelson: Nash and Nowitzki for the Tractor and Garrity. Pure Gold.

The celtics traded the 1st overall pick joe Barry Carrol in 79 for Robert Parrish and the pick that got the Kevin Mc Hale how is trade not there? What about the Ron Harper and 2 first round picks and 2nd rounder for Danny Ferry deal? theres two right off the top of my head that are much worse than almost anything on the list.
atm1919 7 months ago
Where's the Gasol for Kwame Brown trade?! Seriously, Jerry West got his hands in Memphis and traded their best player for Kwame Brown (an unproven player). Lakers went on to get 2 rings and Memphis is just making the playoffs with Zach Randolph who is an aged player. Just clearing up cap space or .....?!
Shermstyle23 7 months ago
@Shermstyle23 Hey bud How do you like Marc Gasol? Remember the Grizzles got his right in that trade too. But of course you knew that right? lol Get the facts straight people didn't pay attention to Marc when the deal was done because he was still overseas, and so most people don't realize if not for the lakers they wouldn't have Marc or enough money to sign people like Gay because it would have been wrapped up in Paul. Again you knew that though right?
atm1919 7 months ago
@atm1919 You do know that Rudy Gay was already playing with Pau on the Grizzlies?! you do know that Kwame Brown was the 2nd big name in the trade for Pau?! You do realize that Marc hadnt proved he could play in the NBA play style even tho he won gold with Pau in the olympics?! You do know that even OJ Mayo was not drafted by Memphis?! The trade was basically Pau for Kwame & rights to Marc (who was just a RISKY investment) & 2 first round draft picks that traded Kevin Love & resulted in Mayo
Shermstyle23 7 months ago
@atm1919 You do know the Lakers won with Pau 2 years in a row. CHAMPS! You do know that Marc is a decent PF/C & that OJ Mayo is a good player with lots of potential. All the Grizzlies got was potential & the Lakers got 2 years of PROVEN success. Lakers would have won it this year too if they hadnt choked so monstrously. Lakers gave up nothing to get Pau. LA gave up their risks in 1st rnd draft picks & gave it to Memphis w/Kwame & an unknown guard.
Shermstyle23 7 months ago
@Shermstyle23 " Lakers would have won it this year too if they hadnt choked so monstrously." WTF is up with that comment?
Yeah and the Raptors would of won the finals if they had of been good.
tomman222 7 months ago
@atm1919 Memphis used their cap space to get what?! They got Marc Gasol who had no contracts in the NBA & used their draft picks to get Xavier Henry in 2010 & Kevin Love in 2008. And they traded Kevin Love for OJ Mayo. OJ Mayo is a good player with potential but Love would benefit the Griz so much as he is a player with higher team effectiveness. And thats not even mentioning the trouble theyve had with OJ off the court from steroids to fighting a teammate.
Shermstyle23 7 months ago
@atm1919 The deal wasnt good back when it was done for the Grizzlies and it is even worse by the implications of OJ. Kevin Love's potential was not seen then but now shows how well the Pau trade did for the Griz. You cant deny 2 championship rings for the Lakers getting Pau vs Memphis just investing in potential which has gotten them into the playoffs but with players like Zach who is aging & Marc not that far behind in terms of basketball years.Griz are going to have to win in the nxt few yrs
Shermstyle23 7 months ago

the elton brand for tyson chandler trade should not be on the list....... even though brand puts up numbers...its not like the clippers had much success with him. I believe both chicago and los angeles got to the playoffs at least once during each player's time in their new team although i'm almost sure that chandler's bulls had more playoff appearances. Where is the Chris Webber - Otis Thorpe/Mitch Richmond trade @?
