  • Is there vacuum in the crank case? I thought it had a slightly positive pressure because of blow-by and bad valve cover gaskets wouldn't cause a vacuum leak.

  • When a vehicle has a vacuum hose leak, does it cause the car to vibrate violently when you get up to a certain speed? Also, when you come to a complete stop (red light, stop sign), does the car sometimes cut off? If that's not the cause of a vacuum hose leak, then what is?

  • You can use a plumber's smoke candle and the exhaust from a shop vac. Make a relief valve to reduce the pressure.
