I love the guy telling us the story about is l33 with 415 hp with only a cold air intake lol! Your about 100hp from the truth... L33 is 315 hp stock.. Many cold air intakes decrease horsepower,not the mention the "Active torque management" would prevent too much power to the driveline.... Nice try though...

this was a while back..he's my friend. he ended up blowing the 4.8 which ran an 11.9 if im not mistaken. ill find the video. now he put in a 5.3 FBO with custom grind cam and some juice

If I'm not mistaken, the GMC is a 4.8l engine. Those are slow, and if you did happen to put any major mods on it, it's a waste of money because a 5.3 puts out WAY more hp. I have an 03 Sierra with an L33 5.3l engine, it puts out about 415 hp, has 4.10 and i forget about the torque, and I only have a cold air intake setup.

@retard194 I'm telling you it doesn't, and even if it did (ie, someone swapped it in before you bought it after the L33s became an option in the 2005 model year), they weren't rated at anywhere near 385. A factory Aluminum block and factory aluminum heads (not headers) won't make 90 more hp.

Do you have the build sheet? A dyno sheet? Or did someone just tell you it was an L33 and made 385hp?

I have no idea where the dyno sheet is or anything, but i'm getting my engine rebuilt this month because I'm right at 190,000 miles and I'm thinking of dropping an STS Turbo on it. As soon as it's rebuilt I'll get it dyno'd, just for you. Lol.

@retard194 Fuck an STS. You can get a bigger turbo to fit underhood that will make tons more power for equal to or less than the cost of an STS. If you go forced induction, especially with turbochargers, an LS6 cam/valvetrain and e85 are your friends.

its a tourque converter its the thing in between the transmission and the engine the thing that looks like a really fat pancake lol it helps you launch at higher RPMs when you take off so you get a better dead stop but it kills your rolling unless you get a triple disc or a 5 disc one
