I had to see this cars speedometer for myself lol. I was actually at a stop light just now and one of those crz's thought he could keep up with me (2008 Altima 3.5L V6 with AEM cold air intake)..... I left him in the initial 0-60 so he waited till I let off and and did a ricer flyby on me. I didn't take up the challenge cause I don't fuck with the police around here but it was definitely an impressive looking car. But nowhere near impressive enough internally to be any kind of competition.

Anything called "hybrid" in a vehicle is a big scam.

Stick to strictly gasoline or diesel powered cars. They don't cost as much, are easier and cheaper to maintain, and still outperform anything called a "hybrid".

There are some very good 4 cylinder gasoline cars nowadays that get great gas mileage. Sure a "hybrid" may get a few more, but that's why you spend thousands more to buy one. Quite a contradiction (SPEND more to SAVE more)?

I drive a Z06 and I respect any good sports car, including this one, and there are a lot of them these days.. I think all these haters are just jealous and drive minivans. You cant say a car is bad until you have driven it. These CR-Zs are fun as hell around corners. Yeah they dont have 3 sec 0-60s, but thats not the point of them

I would roll around in this car. It's a hybrid, you get a fun sporty hatch that handles AMAZINGLY on turns and corners and has an EXCELLENT 6 speed transmission.

Sure it won't win races, but if you owned this car you wouldn't even bother trying. Everyone will still look at your futuristic cool looking car and you are getting at the minimum 31 miles to a gallon.

I like taking my car out for a cruise. If I had a fast car, I'd have to restrain myself, but this you can let loose and have fun.

@YelIowMamba The infiniti is also twice the price and only averages 29mpg. People with the crz can average anywhere from high 30s to mid 40s with a car that starts at low 20k range. first step for making a sport hybrid.. i don't blame who says this car can't perform well.. of course it can't make a lot of good impression because i think it is the first real attempt to make a hybrid sports car than affordable to anyone..

i know it lacking in may area.. but just accept it, for who doesn't like simply just take it yourself.. because honda gave us a new idea in this type of car.. just support them to make another good car.. the japs don't just gave up like that.. ^^

@JustMyHobbies I do completely agree with your statement! It's a first step in the right direction and there's still lot room to improve that concept. Think of a downsized turbo-charged hybrid engine. You would have the almost the same engine but more power and even more torque. Or size-down the engine a bit and improve the fuel economy.. Anyways: I like Honda's idea and it's a right direction all manufacturers have to get on for the future.

@vortex3k there is a 1,6 liter turbo engine to come with 162 hp and a 2 one with 204 hp as they claimed a while ago! i really like thsi car, has great cornering performance and with the new engines it WILL be fast! ;)

It's a two seater in the US. I've nearly concluded I'm buying this car. One can rarely use all the performance that is present in a regular sports car. Comfort and practicality are far more useful.

@kris1991 Yes, I have :) And I'm doing track days pretty often and I am also racing in cup sport slalom races, so I guess I am in the situation to judge cars on how they handle. The Ford's handling just isn't as sharp as the Honda's. I don't say it's a bad car, just from the sportive view, the track performance of the Honda is better, even with less power. And besides all of that: why getting a Honda? Different people have different kind of taste. It's all a subjective view.
