Everyone keeps saying Ace Combat is better...blah blah... AIR Combat.. (the first 'ace combat' for the Playstation 1995)...that was the best one of the Ace Combat Series, its been all down hill from there. HAWX is great, the only difference in the controls really is the Missile and Gun buttons are swapped around, I think though what sets hawx apart is that the frame rate is slightly faster, so it just feels like a quicker game/higher speeds etc.

yea acecombat was the game the made this air plan games hawks just coped it and acecombat the new they made is like the best air craft game made check it out Ace Combat Assault Horizon its like the best game made better then hawks or any anther air craft games

@KingOlim If you love hawx better I understand, because its probably the first flight sim you were into, but Acecombats been out since 1995 and they have made 10 of them, from PS1, Gameboy, PSP to PS3 and XBOX 360, :) but Hawx is pretty good though :)

@TheNfstuner It's ok, I don't have the game. And I'm sorry, that's not the ECM pod. It looks like a rocket pod or something. The Su-27 series need no ECM pod, since the aircraft itself is already equiped with it. It's that long tail that separates both engines.

That's the chaff dispenser not the ECM pod. ECM pods are optional and equippable on the cropped wingtips.

@klinci33 No, I can assure you that that is the ECM pod, along with some of the radar's armament. It also acts as an additional lifting surface.

@intruderalert01 I read a bit more of the technical data, and yes it is indeed a secondary radar introduced with the Flanker B variant to allow engaging rear targets, but haven't found anything about there being an ECM pod. And if you happen have a source could you link it please?

@klinci33 Sorry, you're absolutely right. The long tail separating both engines would be the radar equipment. I thought this included jamming electronics (ECM). The Su-35 is also equiped with a centerline ECM pylon, but little is known about this new design. Anyway, the ECM is indeed located on the wingtips.
